Half-Life 2: Desperation is a single player modification of Half-Life 2 Episode 2. It takes place in the Midwest United States during and after the 7 Hour War. This however leads to a last ditch nuclear strike on all Combine overrun areas (yours being one of the these) by the United States Military. Though it fails to stop the invasion, it severely hinders the occupation of Combine forces (as well as the survival of pretty much anything) in the irradiated wasteland that is the American Midwest. You fill the shoes of an average citizen of a small town that is within the blast radius of the nuclear strike and take refuge from both the threat of aliens and the military's payload in a makeshift bomb shelter. A majority of the time after the blast you will operate out of this shelter and gather needed supplies as well as eventually take on Combine soldiers in an exodus from the wastes.
Hello there members of the Mod DB community. I finally decided to present to you my humble little mod which I have been working on in my spare time. I made everything you see here myself and that is the way it will most likely continue (with the exception of any model/texture/content contributions I may or may not receive from the community). Anyways, I just wanted to let anyone who might be reading this that I am active and this mod is as alive as it ever has been. Also, thanks for taking an interest in my work.
As for the mod, the progress at this point is that pretty much everything besides the actual in-game experience is done, which is the meat-and-potatoes I know. I'm saying that I have the menu finished, the intro video finished (which is in the video content section of the page by the way), some custom materials done, a tweaked HUD, and a start on the first campaign level. I am mostly a mapper by trade so that is going to be my strong point throughout development. So, let me know what you think so far people!

please be alive!
are you still working on this?
The combine come to earth a few years after the Black Mesa incident, not 34 hours.
actually, Half-Life 1 takes place over 2-3 days, so 34 hours would actually be more accurate than 'a few hours'
After Gordon killed the Nihilanth
Damn, this looks nice. I'm gonna be tracking this.
Desperate for team members you are, but the journey only began it has, young sky walker...
