A stupid HL2 mod designed to hold true to its name in all interpretations. Will require Half-Life 2: Episode One and no expectations.
I cannot explain Half-Laugh in simple words. I'm just too simple to understand it. You're getting yourself into some sort of meme mod. Or not. It depends on how you look at it. Try to clear your head if and when you play this game and please don't expect very much. This is a boring mod, its jokes are too subtle, its memes are from the beginning of time, and it glorifies certain individuals. On the bright side, I've captivated your interest.

Half-Laugh is NOT going to be released on April 1st. This is why I left the release date as TBD. It was never certain. I recently realized this wouldn't be the case and I decided to clear this up now before people got their hopes up too far.
I will, however, give some chapter-specific progress updates:
- Point Insertion - 100% (pretty much)
- A Red Letter Day - 100% (it might need some spicing up but it's releasable as it is)
- Route Kanal - 100% (I think?)
- Water Hazard - 80% (This percentage can also be said on each individual map)
- Black Mesa East - 85% (Keep forgetting to finish a certain character's implementation)
- We Don't Go To Ravenholm... - 75%
- Highway 17 - 35%
- Sandtraps - 10%
- Nova Prospekt - 50%
- Entanglement - 0-5%
- Anticitizen One - 70%
- Follow Freeman - 70%
- Our Benefactors - 15%
- Dark Energy - 0%
Keep in mind I'm not working on any of this chronologically.
There's also things like bonus maps, models and assets, sounds, etc. I would not be able to reach a deadline like April 1st, especially since I have more projects going on at the same time.
I'm sorry if this disappoints anyone.

So i couldn't help but notice that nothing new has been made in terms of updates for the mod in 7 months and 1 year, now i don't like making bad assumptions with lack of updates since according to a previous post you didn't want to reveal all the jokes which was good. But i am concerned that there is no download for the mod so i'm just asking in a numerical format so you can save your fingers from typing so much.
1. Have you completely given up on the mod? And if so is it fine if you release it for download even if its incomplete looks funny
2. Have you postponed the mod long-term until you work on it when you aren't busy and if so do you have any estimates or updates about it?
3. Have you actually been secretly working on the mod only for Government agents to seize your mod files because it was too funny to be unleashed on the world and you are actually leading a revolution in Lebanon to raid their base containing your mod files?
4. Something something (basically if none of what i have guessed above is exactly to your answering liking then just pick 4 and explain)

Your concern is warranted and the answer is 2. I didn't realize I was on RTB:R's ModDB page, but I'm mostly helping with their programming and, above all, giving RTB:R the improvements and assets from a project called Mapbase.
At some point last year, I unintentionally abandoned Half-Laugh over the lucrative idea I had for Mapbase: A platform for fixes and quality-of-life improvements on the mapping side of things. I was bringing those kinds of improvements from project-to-project (including Half-Laugh) and I wanted something that me and anyone else could draw from for future projects.
I'll elaborate on this soon and what it means for Half-Laugh in the future, as I am definitely planning on getting back to it when I can with better humor. Thank you for your patience and dedication.

Thanks for the feedback, Mapbase is a really cool thing TBH and its understandable to work on that more also so far the humor you've shown has been good.
P.S As a Jojo fan i am legally obligated, Under Page 199 Paragraph 4 of the Jojo fan Code, to request a Jojoke. If you don't know what jojo is then good for you, you didn't enter the inescapable doorway of constant refrences if you do but aren't too much of a fan of it then good for the same reason as the previous one.
