HAL mod for Half-Life 2

This ain't your normal source mod. I prefer small fun games over long, Lord of the Rings, story driven behemoths.

If you're returning, welcome back! I wanna thank everyone that tried out the last version.

I especially want to thank those that have followed and commented/in-boxed me so far. You make a difference!

Version 1.2 is coming up soon and I wanted to show everyone some pics of the progress so far...

One thing I have noticed is that the puzzle element was kind of lacking. I tried it out the last time to get an idea of what works and what doesn't. The feed back I got form you guys has been great so far, but I haven't heard about the puzzles yet.

This time I will build on the puzzle element of the game and really see how far I can push it. The puzzles are not crazy, I promise you. But I hope they will make you stop and rethink how you play the game. Hopefully, how you play most games!

"You said this wasn't a puzzle game." It has puzzle elements. It's not the next Portal. Trust me.

You will also notice that this map will be longer than the previous ones. I have placed auto saves into the map. I want to add more meat the maps but I also know having to restart a whole level can kill the whole experience.

You may have noticed that the overview pic doesn't show most of the puzzle room...and doesn't show other parts of the map...obviously because of spoilers. Just because the path is clear, doesn't mean there's nothing beneath the surface.

Now that all of that is out of the way, you may have noticed that the title of the article says "rewards" in it. I appreciate everyone that gives HAL a chance and takes their time to really give back with feedback.

So I want to give back to you.

The offer:

I will add all of those that comment or inbox me with feedback onto the list of play testers that will be shown in the mod. I will collect usernames or preferred names starting when version 1.2 releases up till 12:00 am of April 1st. Again, only for a few weeks.

The requirements are as follows:

1. You must already be following the mod.

For those that have already commented or in-boxed me, you don't have to worry. Although I would appreciate the follow, you can just comment again if you would like me to add your part into making this game.

2. The comment has to at least answer 2 questions. What was your best and worst experience during the mod? Explain why?

Please, don't say it was bad because of your mom or something like that.

But...

if it's funny and original enough, I'll let it slide. This is the internet after all and I'm not made of stone.

3. You have to explicitly say in the message that you want to be mentioned in the game and if you want to be mentioned by a preferred name.

If you don't mention that you want to be listed, then I can't add you to the list. Also if you don't mention your preferred name, then I can only add you based on your username.
