Предыстория Предыстория у мода в лучших американских традициях. Армейцы (носящии форму US армии конца 19 века) полезли на планету с зеномами, куда их собственно никто не звал. Результат очевиден – доблестным воинам надрали задницу. Те же, кто бегал быстрее других, смогли остаться в живых, и по возвращению домой были объявлены национальными героями. Глава этой экспедиции – некий генерал, пропал без вести, вследствие чего был объявлен супергероем и ему стали возводить памятники на космических кораблях. Мы играем за одного из выживших в той переделке – майора Арчера. В отличии от остальных счастливчиков у нас что-то случилось с головой. Ведь как иначе объяснить наше желание снова лезть туда, откуда мы еле унесли ноги.
