Welcome to the Groß Mittelalterlich: Totaler Krieg mod page! The aim of this mod is to create a better and more historically accurate version of Medieval II. "Groß Mittlelalterlich: Totaler Krieg" is German for "Grand Medieval: Total War."

You start in 962 with the rise of Emperor Otto I 'the Great' of the HRE. Also, King Dub mac Maíl Coluim has risen to the throne of Scotland after the death of King Indulf. The Byzantines have also been busy and have recently captured and sacked the city of Aleppo. This army was led by the soon-to-be Emperor Nikephoros Phokas. There will be a script in 963 in which the current Emperor, Romanus II, dies and is replaced by Nikephoros. The Byzantines will start out at war with the Abbasids, who will replace the Turks. That's about it so far. Edits will be included below so stay tuned.
