One of the things that has always irritated me about the Low Gravity mutator shipped with both UT and UT2003 is the fact that a jump that would normally be easy becomes a nightmare as you will yourself to the ground (after an excessively high jump) while attempting to avoid getting killed. Well, this mutator goes some way to resolving this problem.
Firstly, the mutator allows you to change the gravitational strength across the level. Note that any variations in gravity are preserved so the high gravity sections of Phobos2 are still high gravity when compared to the low gravity bits - even though overall the level of gravity has changed.
Once you have selected the gravity you wish to play (0.3 is a good approximation to the standard low gravity mutator) you can then specify the changes in jump height. The jump height is calculated relative to the gravitational strength. This means that if you set the jump height to normal (a multiplier of 1.0) then you will always jump the same height whatever you set the gravity to.
Note that jumping height is not the same thing as "air time". At high gravity you can't jump as far as you would be able to normally even though you are jumping the same height. Pulling off a double-jump at 4x gravity is pretty hard.
