Bringing the secret agent world to CryEngine 2 is indeed a delight. This mod aims, with the help of the community, to bring about a unique mod, yet one somewhat reminiscent of the original Goldeneye title. We are just beginning, and actively seeking fellow modders and artists to work with us on this mod.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are now joining forces with Goldeneye: Heven (a GE mod for Crysis), therefore, this mod will be switched over to CryEngine 2, and no longer, UnrealEd. Though working with UnrealEd was an interesting experience, CryEngine 2 offers us the ability to release a technically-relavent game by the time this mod is released. CryEngine 2 is just getting started, and it's technology will still be visually impressive in several years, just as Far Cry is today.
Hey, I saw that a GoldenEye mod can work for the Source engine, so it should be far easier with the better tools for modding Crysis. Keep with it!
goldeneye = best game ever :P
Yes and have no fear, we're working diligently on the mod!
As jonathan wrote, this mod has moved its assets and members generously into the GE mod I started Moddb.com
If you are watching this mod, if you like you can move on over and get good updates and get directed to our community forums etc
Thanks and dont despair, perhaps one day GE:00 will port to unrealengine if the trouble is not great. :)
I really wanna see this one get done! I'm not sure if you're part of same team that did the original HL and HL2 mod. But I always realy liked those ports of it. I've been hunting around for an old n64 and that game for awhile.
Huggy.
Well good news. We are joining forces with Goldeneye: Heaven, a mod for Crysis.
One way or another, it will continue, whether it be with UT3, or another game. Currently having issues with UnrealEd and UT3 due to some of the limitations, the limited texture resolution when "cooking" the maps, etc. There are other game/SDK options we are considering.
