What is the game? Gettysburg: The Last Breath is a First Person and Third Person shooter modification for Battlefield Vietnam. It is based on the American Civil War back in the early 1860’s where the Northern States and Southern States fought for four long, bloody years... Why create this game? We are creating this game because we love to pay homage ot those brave Americans who fought and died on American soil in the Civil war, and we love 3D shooters! So why not put them both together?! What is the main focus? The main focus of Gettysburg is to reenact the civil war out in a real-time 3d Strategy while fighting your way through enemy lines for what you believe in! This is a first in a series of code newsflashes. Im gonna tell you all about the progress of the code for GB:HL and some of my crazy stunts as time passes.

To start off, im very proud to say that we are going forward really really fast when it comes to code. Its just a matter of days before we work on getting some new models into the game. Right now the team and class selection is almost done. Im working on tuning the last details on the class selection then I move on to fixing up the gameplay which is already being worked on.

As soon as the gameplay is more or less working there will be a number of GB specific entities coded such as:
- gb_mapinfo
- gb_capture_flag
- gb_capture_point
- gb_ammo_crate
- gb_env_fog

These are the basic entities for now, so we can get the gameplay going and the fog entity is more like a bonus cause its more or less very easy to code in.

omg, this must sound boring to all you people. Anyway, this wraps up the episode number one of GB:HL code and if you (the public) have any comments of suggestions you might wanna tell me about, just reply to this thread in the forums.
