After getting all the important things like repairs, supplies and more crew out of the way it was back to the high sea's for me. I want to be remembered and feared by all and i won't do that sitting in a town watching the day's go by. So after a few day's of sailing we found ourselves a Spanish ship to attack. I wounder if they are up for a little sword play or will they try to run away?
What to do, replace our Merchant Brig with this new ship or not. The Heavy Brig is faster and can hold more cargo and also has a extra 2 guns which are important for me because i i have problems hitting things other than the sea which you can't really miss can you lol. A hard choice, i like this Merchant Brig but it does have one downfall. She can't carry much crew and for me crew is very important as well. Oh well i think i will have to see at Bermuda, maybe a upgrade will help make up my mind (thats if i can afford it).
What the hell, he's having a laugh isn't he. 10,000 and supply him with the goods, just for a few extra crew. Bloody pirate, back to the problem in hand. Which ship do i keep? I could keep both i guess, but then i wouldn't have a navigator and i need one of those because my navigation skills are pritty bad, makes you wounder why i was ellected captain in the first place. Can't hoit a barn door, can't get the best out of a ship and has very little money. Oh forget it, i will take the Heavy Barque as my new ship and sell the Merchant Brig.
Maybe these guy's will change my fortune, one will help increase the profit i make on goods and the other can do all the aiming and firing of guns. That way i won't hear the crew saying how bad i am at those things on a night when they think i am sleeping.
Look a Merchant Brig, i wounder if she'll be better than what my old one was. How i miss my Merchant Brig, i thourght this ship would be nice but after getting onboard i soon found her not to be to my liking. I most likely will just keep the Merchant Brig even if its not as good as my old one, this Heavy Barque is ugly and not as good at turning. I would rather spend money upgrading the Merchant Brig than this pile of crap.
Oh their be a good after all, not only do i have a Merchant Brig again, but she's better than my old one and she is full of gold. I must be dreaming, now to open some rum and drink all night to celebrate this great victory. Bye bye Heavy Barque, you will not be missed.
Will you just look at that, 48,000 pieces of eight, oh how i almost passed out when the store keeper told me how much he would give me for it. I had to ask him to repeat it, I am feeling lucky now with a Merchant Brig back as my ship. How how that rust bucket of a ship the Heavy Barque annoyed me, all i have ever thourght of is getting a new ship and how much regret i had for swapping her with my Merchant Brig. Anyway off to the shipyard for some repairs and to happily pass that Heavy Barque to the shipyard owner. Can't believe anyone would ever want to buy her.
Holly crap, almost 32k for that ship. I got 10k for her and he thinks someone will buy her for 32k, if they have sense they will walk away. Or visit me so i can put a few holes in her, i would have great pleasure in doing that.
Some people might say this is not the most intelegent thing to do in the world, but the ship right next to me is going to be my taget. My plan, board and loot the ship next to me and then sail as fast as i can in the opposit direction. The other ships will struggle to match my speed in less they get some good shots off at my sails or take one of the masts down. I don't think they will do that though.
The good news i never lost a single crew member in the fight, the Heavy Caravel must have had minim crew or something because she was easy. The bad news, she was loaded with 4Ibs cannons. They are of no use to me. So now do i take the risk and coard the Carrack or accept the 4Ibs cannons and sail on.
