Welcome to Half-Life 2: Genetic Variation, a mod where you play as a Combine-modified Headcrab. The Resistance is threatened by the surplus of the new crabs, but when modifying you, they made a huge mistake without knowing, causing you to become a smart and sentient Headcrab. Your job is unknown until later into the game. The Combine plan on releasing hundreds of shellers full of these new Headcrabs out into bases. You have to work together with humans to stop the evil force.
Some turnarounds of the new Headcrab. We'll get to modeling this as soon as we can. It may look different from the past concepts, but the Headcrab was actually elongated in the concepts, compared to the in-game model.
Good can't wait to see the models.
neither can i they look like they should have been added to the original HL2
Yeah the concept art is really good.I also can't wait for more overnome concept art.
Stunning artwork.
All headcrabs in HL2 are hybrids, this one looks like a synth
Yes.....that's what it's supposed to be.
It can be assumed that the Headcrabs are not made by the Combine. The Combine strictly makes things look like Synths, not organic. The Hunter, Strider, Crab Synth, Mortar Synth, Claw Scanner, Gunship, Dropship are examples of what a Synth looks like, something the Poison and Fast Headcrabs don't have. The Combine doesn't make things look organic.
Just a heads up, the description at the top (in the image section) is a bit redundant. "... has to save the Resistance from a threat created by the Combine, which turns out to be what they created."
Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean, in which case it'd be nice if you made it a little more clear.
I'll PM you, so I don't ruin the story for anyone else.
