This mod removes the suck out of Zero Hour... What little of it existed, at least, but there were definitely some things that were a bit poorly designed, a few balancing issues, and just overall some quirks that could be fixed. This mod is my take on fixing those things and adding a bunch of awesome stuff to an already darned-good game. Prepare to unleash the absolute greatest in dominating weaponry in Zero Hour.
A new Hero unit for Kwai, built from the War Factory with the prerequisite of a Propaganda Center. It's basically Black Lotus merged with a Battlemaster, able to attack with the same weapon and hack stuff to capture buildings, disable vehicles, and steal cash. I'm thinking of giving it Overlord-style Bunker, Speaker Tower, and Bunker upgrades. It's also stealthed and can detect stealthed units.
Also, all tanks for the Tank Gen can now use the Composite Armor upgrade, purchased from the Prop Center.
Wouldn't it be better to just create a new Battlemaster version the likes of GLA bike and make it occupyable by any infantry unit?
Not sure how much that would fit the Tank Gen. I suppose I could try it, though.
The idea is that the few infantry units Kwai gets to field have little chance of keeping up with and surviving next to his armor units, so instead of resorting to fielding APCs or other micromanagement demanding transport he has a some sort of tankette or whatever capable of keeping up out outpacing the armored units and executing support abilities like structure takeover, while still protected by heavy armor. Think that Chinese scout units in Shockwave that they recently replaced with a different version.
Hmm... I like it. :D (I don't know anything about Shockwave, though.)
However, I am very inexperienced with the Combat Cycle's special code and parts of it seem very strange and scary to me so this new unit might take awhile.
