My team, jkberna and Djodar, my various esteemed collaborators such as Siber and Avatar II of the HW@ mod, and myself are proud to bring you the Galactic Council Mod, a bold project intended to show you just what really was behind those hyperspace gates at the end of the original Homeworld. So far there are three totally new races on the drawing board-- two totally original new races-- the Czalkir and the DR1, and another based off of actual Relic concept art that has come to be called the Lizaanj.

It add's 3 (2 more in the works) playable new races to the HW universe.

To install just place the fle GCMODdata_v0_3a.big in your Homeworld2\data folder and add
"-overridebigfile  -mod GCMODdata_v0_3a.big  -luatrace" to the shortcut.

ex- "C:\Program Files\Sierra\Homeworld2\Bin\Release\Homeworld2.exe"  -overridebigfile  -mod GCMODdata_v0_3a.big  -luatrace

   
   

    *The Czalkir- Doci's race, development stopped when he went missing, but has rechearch tree, AI, custom weapon effects, etc
   
    *The Dr1     - The first race i began work on, still needs a lot of units, rechearch tree, AI, and custom weapon effects..
   
    *The Lizaanj - The most developed race, almost all planned ship are ingame, still needs rechearch tree, AI, and custom weapon effects.
   
    *The Criidaar- Nothing for now(waiting for Melvin_M(AZ2)).

    *The Yiir    - Nothing for now(waiting for Tristan_Sjet).



I would apretiate if, everybody that plays the mod, could post errors, critcs, sugestions.

For all of your information... -overrideBigFile is not necessary. Actually, if you have any folders in your data folder from another mod, -overrideBigFile might make the Galactic Council Mod not run as intended (or at all).

-luatrace isn't needed either, but you guys may want to keep that one since if you run into any crashing bugs, you'll have the lua error log generate, and you can give that to the devolopment team.

Not using -overrideBigFile, the "Third New Race" (listed as dr2 on my screen) randomly selects either Vagyr or Hiigaran. Doing it on a clean install of Homeworld 2 with the patch.

The Lizaanj's hp's are much too low, the Bastion died to a few CPU strikecraft, some of it's turrets are missing, the ions don't fire. and the blinking lights aren't on the ship.

As said above, the Dr1 are completely bugged.

The Czalkir have no weapon effects. And the weapons seem far too strong. I killed a mothership in under thirty seconds with 15 interceptor squads.

Really, I think we should take this down, it's not exactly "good press"...
