There are tons of ramps and marked places for jumping around in the game, but the problem is it's pointless to use them. Usually a jump looks like that :) - while you fly, you don't have a contact with the surface => you're not accelerating => speed is not rising or standing still, it's decreasing due to gravitation, non-horizontal direction and other factors; At the moment, using the ramp on the side of a road is pointless and even dangerous for your race position - it's always better to save a contact with a surface to maintain speed. Any ideas? Too bad that the game doesn't have any kind of stunt system and/or nitro, they utilize jumping perfectly. Upd: maybe it's worth to make suspension more springy, with bigger limits? It'd not fix the problem completely, but at least would make jumping not disturbing as it is now. I especially hated those non-avoidable ramps in career races - placed so that you land on a very steep angle, hit the ground hard and find yourself with almost zero speed. Edited by: bac9 |

I agree with this, the ramps are generally useless and more of a detriment than a real help. |
