In a resume, the War Server will emulate a Single Player game using the maps from Multiplayer to trace a campaign where each team have the objective to advance into the enemy territory, find the VIP which have the location of the Commander and eliminate him. The first team to do that wins the war.

Now the clans will play Wars instead of just battles!

Aside the War Server, version 4.0 have few new great features, like the Medic and UAV perks which are in those videos above, the brand new Silent Mode to Weapons Modes, and others.

And no...it's no revolution, ET has done it. And it was addictive as hell, I have to admit.
So, nice to see this brought to CoD4, but don't act like you just reinvented FPS-gaming.

In ET you have many objectives at the SAME map, like Tug of War of Medal Of Honor... War Server it's far bigger than that...

you set the battlefield to until 101 different maps, and all are relatives, what happens in a battle today, will reflect later in the war, paths will change, etc... because IT'S THE SAME WAR!

reading just the resume will not make you have a good idea of what War Server is... please take a look on the tutorial at my Help Forum THEN you will understand! :D

I remember there being more than one map in their "Campaign" mode. The branching paths sound cool though, but I hate cod 4 online.

yes, but the Campaign mode it's the SINGLE player... and of course, since Wolfenstein 3D there's lots of maps in the Campaign mode in SINGLE player... not any news in that...

BUT, I'm talking about MULTI PLAYER! Frontlines brings the Campaign to the MULTI player... that's the revolution! :P

last time i downloaded this, it messed up my CoD4 badly. and i know how to install stuff. Also, there were no active servers running it. would have liked to give it a try, but i downloaded the last three versions and nobody ever played them.

this mod it's very easy to install and don't mess up with anything... read the READ ME! there have a list with more than 30 servers all around the world hosting a Frontlines server...

of course, running a Frontlines server doesn't mean running a War Server, we gonna play a War on this friday at 22hs GMT-3 on the first server on this list... come join us to taste the war...

but the score and anything will be in portuguese (it's multilanguage)... sorry, soon will be servers hosting an War Server on your country...
