Shadow of Fear is an integrating conversion Mod to the Microsoft and Digital Anvil Futeristic Space Simulation Game called Freelancer. The physical Freelancer content was kept untouched while everything else was remodded. Additional, several new Enviroments was integrated into the Game. This way the player will meet known Places to indetify with but also explore much new content. Shadow of Fear is based on 88'Flak. Nearly 4000 additional hours was invested into the mod, not counting the thousands of modding hours 88'Flak allready contains. The technical achievments of '88Flak was carfully sustained and enhanced by new, perfectly matching and integrated content, using "the Freelancer way" to be explored. It's the Colony Ship from M0tah not ready in that picture (the docks are missing) and it is using the 88Flak sirius textures so it is in fact looking like Sirius stuff. What you can't see in the picture is a sun in the back of the observer which is illuminating this side of the ship. If you would fly to the other side it would not. Have a look at it inGame ( when you manage to find the system ;) after 8842 is released ) so you know what i mean. I'll try it with a darker texture version this night to get an idea what you mean :D

With black it would be transparent and even more natural :D

To be serious now, i like the Ships being displayed without the system lights being extrem (like blue sun=blue lighted ship). Both lightings have it's pro and contra's. For example - when using enviromentlight on the textures, it's more hard to let it display the different lights of the physical enviroment the character is in.
