Chapter I - The Exodus Project

In desperation, the Alliance developed the Exodus Project in the end of
the 22nd century. The Coalition's counter-attack was powerful and deadly.
The Alliance started to build the sleeper ships when they got enough
resources. The Exodus Project was the last hope of them. In 2204, they
started to build "The Eight".
The Exodus Project was being developed in two regions: The Jupiter Sector,
where were produced and launched the ASF-SS Liberty, ASF-SS Bretonia,
ASF-SS Kusari, ASF-SS Rheinland and ASF-SS Hispania. In the Neptune
Sector were produced and launched the ASF-SS Gallia, ASF-SS Praetoria
and ASF-SS Amazonia. Their father nations had their own squadrons. People
from the USA, United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, Spain, France and Italy
since the start of the war were fighting against the Coalition. The
Brazil only had their own squadrons after 2170. Before that they were
only acting in mixed-nation squadrons and as Intelligence. The other
Allied nations weren't capable to build their own sleeperships
In 2232, the building of "The Eight" were finished. The Alliance fought
for their lives for many years, to defend their hope, and their brethren,
but their day of defeat wasn't far away.
The day of August, 10th, 2233 was the D-Day for both sides. The Coalition
since the start of the month started to attack and dominate the Jupiter
Sector. The Exodus Project finished and the Operation Exodus started.
The eight sleeperships needed to launch and flee safely. Almost all of
the Alliance military were in Jupiter. The Neptune Sector was unprotected,
and if the sleeper ships there won't be launched they would be destroyed.
Without way to defend themselves. Then, in the biggest battle the Sol
system ever seen, the eight sleeper ships fled at the same moment from
the Sol system. And both Coalition and Alliance were defeated in that
day. The day of phoenix, of the death and reborn.
Soon after the Allied sleeper ships fled from Sol, a Nomad
mother ship appeared in that system. An odd and terrific appearance.
Alone, appeared from the nowhere, launched a hypertorpedo and disappeared
instantly. The Coaliton only watched those freaking seconds. In an
unbelievable moment, the hypertorpedo destroyed the Sol, melting many
planets and moons. The once-green Earth were melted. The Coalition were
melted. Only few people from the Coalition survived in the most hidden
places of Sol, like in the dark side of a Pluto's moon. And the Allied
people inside the sleeper ships. A day that should never be forget.
But it was.
Only few people from Coalition survived and only two officers from the
Coalition's military arrived in the Sirius Sector - and landed in
Manhattan. They telled what happened after they fled. Fearing their
story, the Liberty provisory government wrote the facts to never be
forget. After they collected all the necessary data, the government
believed in their tale, and accepted that they live in Manhattan, where
they died - with a bullet in their heads from Henry Foster, grandson
of the Captain Foster, who died with his ANS Reliant, destroyed with
a Coalition capital ship.
With the time the story of the Coalition officers were archived and
forget, until the year of 775 AS, where a guy called Orillion got
the files, and nobody felt the lack of those files. And they learned the
truth.

Chapter II - After the Lone Star
*********************************************************************
Sixteen years ago, in 795 AS, Jun'ko Zane and Edison Trent landed in
Planet Manhattan to receive the biggest gift that a pilot can receive:
The Lone Star. A glorious day, although many people were confused: two
people that were fleeing from the Navy times ago now were receiving The
Lone Star. Rheinland stopped with their "encephallic" madness, and
strange ships were continuously seen in the Edge Worlds. Odd, but good
times comparing to nowadays.
Two weeks after that event, Navy pilots in Sigma-17 discovered something...
different. The radiation effects of the unknown cargo inside Freeport 7
opened a Jump Hole nearby. As all the situation there was so odd, that
sector in Sigma-17 was called by the Navy under the codename "Columbia
Region", and was under severe patrol by LSF and Navy ships. Due to their
care, any foreigner didn't discovered what was happening there on that
moment. As soon as they took the Jump Hole, they arrived in new space.
A big surprise came: they were in the Amazonian space. The sleeper ship
Amazonia arrived in Sirius and succesfully landed. Weeks later, after the
first contact between the two houses, Liberty signed a treaty in the
Planet New Sao Paulo: the Amazonian nation would provide mineral resources
for Liberty and its own reconstruction. In exchange, Liberty would provide
technologies for the Amazonian systems. The situation in that time was
quite simple to understand the treaty: after Rheinland ended with the
hostilities - which all the involved governments successfully hidden the
cause, called Nomads - not only Rheinland and Kusari, but Liberty was also
in a bad economical situation, and some action needed to be taken to avoid
the incoming crisis. The discover of a house which needed new technologies
and new ships, and was full of resources came in hand to Liberty.

Chapter III - The Amazonian Dawn
*********************************************************************
The New Sao Paulo Treaty marked the start of a new house alliance in
Sirius: the Columbia League, formed at this point by Amazonia and
Liberty.
The many resources stored by the Amazonian stations possibilited for them
a fast upgrade of all the Amazonian bases. Everywhere there were a lot
of work to do. Trade Lanes and Jump Gates were built, the materials of
the old stations, equipment and weapons were refurbished and used to
build new ships, equipment and station parts. The unemployment dropped to
almost zero in both houses. All the Amazonian territory was transformed
into a huge construction site. Meanwhile, any known access to Amazonia was
protected in both sides and closed to only Amazonians and Libertonians.
Both Kusari and Rheinland didn't found problem in that, as they were
really busy in that moment.

Chapter IV - The Underground Alliances
*********************************************************************
Soon another Jump Holes leading to Sigma and Omega systems were
discovered from both Amazonian space and its own border worlds. But
the connections were discovered by criminals, hunting these connections
for new systems, which they heard of by unknown means. These criminals,
the Corsairs and the Outcasts, found in Amazonia a vast and open market
to their products, Alien Artifacts and Cardamine. However, the new space
was already populated by other criminals, The Wolves and First Lead,
which as the months passed more losses were coming, as the Police and the
Military Forces upgraded weapons and ships. A smart and easy exit was
possible: firstly, the Corsairs offered an alliance to The Wolves.
The Corsairs would offer to The Wolves their known technology, including
ships, and in exchange The Wolves would teach to the Corsairs their known
routes, giving shelter to the Corsairs passing by their bases, and also
helping the Corsair Artifact smuggling throughout Amazonia.
The Outcasts later offered a similar offer to the First Lead. As both
Amazonian factions accepted, the biggest Sirius criminals, hating each
other, were helping and being helped by the two biggest Amazonian
criminal groups, also old enemies.
This way, many ships were either captured or destroyed by these criminals,
making Amazonia a hostile environment to novice pilots.

Chapter V - The Sirius Union
*********************************************************************
One week after the order was restored in all the Sirius houses in 795 AS,
the place of the MIA Chancellor Niemann was given to the Chancellor
Alban Kresser. One of the first actions of the Chancellor Kresser was to
ask to Kusari for their pardon, after the Niemann's acts. Also, Kresser
offered an alliance so both houses could rebuild themselves, and to escape
from the Bretonian and even Liberty corporations growing actions in their
territories, despite the incoming crisis. Kusari accepted, as they couldn't
rebuild themselves without Rheinland resources, and Bretonia was offering
their minerals for a too high cost. In the other side, Rheinland needed
basic materials, like Food, Pharmaceuticals and H-Fuel. So, they started
in the beginning of 796 AS the Sirius Union, which proved to be highly
successful, ending with hostilities between GMG and the Rheinland
government, as GMG was heavily suffering from the crisis and Rheinland
really needed H-Fuel in acceptable prices, which opened Sigma-13 to the
free passage of Rheinland and Kusari ships in and out of the system.

Chapter VI - The Holes of the Destiny
*********************************************************************
Six months after the first Jump Hole which origin was credited to the
Freeport 7 incident was discovered in the Columbia Region, two other Jump
Holes were discovered by Liberty nearby from its main systems. Meanwhile,
the Sirius Union also found three other Jump Holes. Both Liberty, with the
aid of Amazonian ships, as Union ships were sent to all the new Jump Holes,
in a hope to find new systems - like Amazonia. Only four expeditions came
back. The missing expedition, from the Union, remains into a government
secret.
About the other expeditions, the Columbia League had found another great
surprise lying between Liberty, Rheinland and Amazonia: the Gallian
territory. The sleeper ship Gallia made its way, landing between the Crow,
Walker, Edge and the dark matter nebulae. Both Amazonia and Liberty
offered their help to Gallia, much like Liberty did months ago with
Amazonia, which now could also aid another house in need of mineral
resources. So, the Columbia League received its third member, Gallia.
Almost at the same time, Kusari and Rheinland explorers traveling in the
wild Tau systems had found fresh Jump Holes leading to another uncharted
territory, which soon discovered to be settled by the descendants of the
sleeper ship Praetoria, which belonged to Italy centuries ago.
Praetoria, much like Gallia and Amazonia, due to centuries of isolation,
had their technology very outdated. So, this come in hand to the Union,
which also signed a treaty with Praetoria, making it another Union member,
aiding and being aided by the other members.

Chapter VII - Everyday has a Dawn and a Sunset
*********************************************************************
As there were two different alliances, the members of one started to
have closer relations with its own alliance, and to have looser, colder
relations with the members of the other group. Since the formation of the
two alliances, internally the members of both Union and League had
advantages on buying or selling technologies, commodities and services
each other. However, in 798 AS, the Union started to also request an
additional tax from products incoming from Columbia nations. Bretonia
wasn't affected after all. In response, the Columbia League acted the same
way towards Union. In 800 AS, Rheinland, which sent 90% of their military
vessels to reprocessing facilities in order to diminish military
maintenance costs and to obtain metal to rebuild themselves and Kusari,
was able to exit from their internal crisis, thus paying any debts with
their houses. In 801 AS, they could start a military build-up, as they were
really weak. In the same year, Kusari started to build more capital ships,
which turned on an alert to the Columbia League nations. Fearing future
hostilities from the Union, Liberty started to build more Navy vessels,
and opened Alaska to few ships so they could deliver resources to their
shipyards. Amazonia and Gallia only increased their production, as they
were upgrading their military since they joined the League. The same
applies to Praetoria. Bretonia, feeling the winds of war incoming, also
increased their ranks and reinforced their borders.

Chapter VIII - The Bloody Sunset
*********************************************************************
In 809 AS, both sides were fully armed, although any hostility hadn't
happened. All Sirius was mainly divided into four groups: the ones from
the Columbia League, the ones from the Sirius Union, the ones from the
so-called Neutral Column, formed by the Bretonian government,
corporations, and other independent neutral corporations, and lastly the
Sirius' Underground World, formed by criminals and other underground
corporations.
In the same year, a Universal Shipping transport heading from Colorado
to the Planet Junyo, in Shikoku, remained for one day in the planet's orbit
while waiting permission to dock. After this event, Liberty, with the
other League houses, had officialy prohibited any Samura ship from flying
in Columbia territory. Kusari blamed Liberty for that, and along with
other Union nations closed their borders to any Libertonian ship. Two
months later, any Union ship couldn't enter in League territory and vice-
versa.

Chapter IX - Feuer Frei!
*********************************************************************
One year ago, in 810 AS, it was clear the war would start in any moment,
despiting the Bretonian efforts in avoid it. Praetoria, Gallia and Amazonia
were completely renewed and armed to the war.
In the same year, both Liberty and Rheinland ships were patrolling
Omega-11, when a stronger radiation wave had hit the three Valkyries and
the two Zorn, causing a malfuncion in the ships' engines and life support
systems. As the Liberty patrol was in range, they sent a distress call to
them:
"Navy Omega 33-1, this is Military Kappa 42-1, we're under heavy problems
and need fast assistance! Navy ships, please help us now!"
However, the message arrived this way to the Navy ships, which couldn't
help, as the whole Rheinland patrol blew before they could arrive.
"32*@(#@74 ¢£6! Milita¨&31E 42-1, we're under @&#*#*({^{(@#*@& assistance!
Navy ships@*(87288---------"
The incident arrived very fast to the Rheinland Military Main Command
Center on New Berlin, as long with the ships' blackboxes, which also
included the patrol leader message under interference:
"32*@(#@74 ¢£6! Milita¨&31E 42-1, we're under @&#*#*({^{(@#*@& assistance!
Navy ships@*(87288---------"
This way, the Military asked for fast replies from the Navy Command for the
reason for the "attack" on the Rheinland vessels. As no reply had been
given, Rheinland declared war on Liberty. Amazonia and Gallia declared
war on Rheinland, to defend Liberty, and Praetoria and Kusari declared war
on the whole Columbia League. Then, the Sirius War started. We're in 811 AS
and no side is winning. Wouldn't this be a defeat to us all?
