Forgotten Hope 2 is an award-winning World War II modification for Battlefield 2TM and is based on the original Forgotten Hope, a modification for Battlefield 1942TM, one of the most popular multiplayer games ever. Battlefield 1942TM featured land, sea and air combat in a way never before seen. It was the goal of the development team to maximize the game experience by adding both a realistic and enjoyable gameplay to FH and now to FH2.
The Pistole Parabellum 1908 pistol (commonly known as the Luger) was an 8-round semi-automatic pistol produced from 1900 to 1945. Perhaps the most unique feature of the pistol was the jointed arm situated towards the rear of the pistol, which would hinge open upon firing. This was significantly different from the more traditional slide actions of other pistols of the time. The Luger came in many different variants, with several attachments. The German Naval version featured a 6-inch barrel, and a two-position rear sight, where the Army variant had a 4-inch barrel and was chambered in the 9x19mm Parabellum round. Despite being replaced in 1938 by the newer, Walther P38 pistol, the PO8 Luger saw action throughout both World Wars and was a highly prized collectable for US servicemen. The P08 Luger pistol was updated by Remdul.
The pistol itself looks cool, but how the hell is one supposed to aim down the sight with that hinge-thingy flipping up-and-down after every shot? I imagine it got pretty annoying
It goes realy fast. Just as fast as a 1911 slides back and forward.
you can aim the luger with your eyes closed cause it fits your arm perfectly so you just point your arm at the target ;)
and that "thing" helps the luger to stay stable

:O I have played many world war games with German Lugers, but this is the most well balanced, and visually appealing one I have seen.
I have modeled for a about a year and a half, and that makes me appreciate seeing this all the more. Textures and geometry are superb, wish all FPS weapons were made this good. So from one modder to another, great job.
