Fate of the Damned is a meticulously crafted custom campaign for BLOOD which aims to speculate and explore another shadowed path that Caleb might've undertaken. While taking care to never stray far from the gameplay formula that made BLOOD so gripping, the campaign will see Caleb journey through new environments that he has not seen before. Gruesome new discoveries await as he tears through hordes of the undead and nothing is left unscathed in his quest for vengeance.

Hereeeeeeeee's Caleb!

I can't believe it's here, but I don't have to because it truly is here.
******* yes, mate! And right on Winter!

I'll make sure to play it, I hope to see the first Episode having some small revision, or even a huge one, and that it kept the cool cutscenes.

In both E2M4 and in E2M6 I have encountered a strange wall as seen in these screenshots:

The wall has a small gap at the top and in both cases I could squeeze through via diagonal jump.

The wall would be there only if I came to the map from a previous one.

If I load the map directly, the wall isn't there:

I was playing in Raze.

Thanks for the report. This is a result of a trick I use to free up some space for new areas the player accesses. This looks correct in GDX, DOS and NBlood, so I'm not sure why Raze wouldn't get it right.
I will be sure to give Raze a spin for future releases, since it wasn't on my radar before this release and I didn't realise so many players used it. I will see, should this come up again, if there is a means to fix it in Raze which doesn't impact other ports or interfere with development.

The part of Raze that runs Blood was forked from NBlood, however it is exhibiting issues NBlood does not have.

Sometimes a quicksave+quickload is required to have things displayed properly. The only such example in FATE that comes to mind is the lever in E2M8:
Before reload: I.imgur.com
After reload: I.imgur.com

The same was present in Trauma Therapy whenever an explosion alters the room (e.g. TT19).

I have followed up with these two examples here: Github.com

Raze become my engine of choice due to high customizability, just like GZDoom.

how can I play it with nBlood? the launcher seems to ignore the mod's INI file

Be sure to check the installation instructions included in the text file or on the main page here on ModDB. Select "FATE" under the custom game content directory when launching it and you should be fine.

The mod uses a trick via this method whereby it has the standard Blood.ini title, so all that needs to be changed is that dropdown; it is expected that no custom .ini appear in the list.

Let me know if you continue to struggle.

Thanks for replying! I already tried that, but when doing so the game loads in vanilla state so to speak, clicking New Game on the main menu shows the base game episodes, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong

Okay, so let's take it from the top then.
When you download the add-on, you'll have a zip file with a folder inside, called FATE.
Once you've extracted that folder, you need to put that FATE folder straight into your NBlood directory. This will mean that you should see two folders in NBlood - autoload and FATE.
Then, when opening nblood.exe, you should get a popup which has a few options, but we're interested in the "Game" and "custom game content directory" sections.
Under game, you should see "BLOOD: One Unit Whole Blood" and
"Cryptic passage". Having BLOOD selected here is correct.
Beneath that, the dropdown "Custom game content directory" should be set to FATE.
That should do it for NBlood, but let me know if you're still struggling and we can keep trying. Maybe something weird is happening.

Hello, this is a really great game and I love this mod so much ... Guys, do you know if there is a tweak so that the game movement (autorun = ON) is a bit slower?
'Autorun = OFF' is too slow while 'Autorun = ON' is too fast ... I would like to have something in the middle ... can't find a way how to achieve that. Otherwise it is perfect. I use NBlood (and tried NotBlood as well). Thanks for any help.

Not aware of a solution to this, but it's not something I've ever looked for. Slowing the player down would lead to a direct increase in difficulty for the game, though.

Works on Fresh supply?

Greetings. Fresh Supply is generally only capable of reproducing basic functionality for the game. Fate of the Damned uses a lot of advanced techniques that Fresh Supply doesn't support. It will run, but you will have a very poor experience with it and a lot of maps won't work as intended.

Not that my comment matters much but I’d like to share as I’m sure I’m not the only one.

The only way I can play blood is through the android app “Zeta touch” which uses the raze engine. I don’t have a pc so this my only way to play. If it’s possible would you mind testing out your future mods with raze? I know time is something that’s hard to come by, as well as there are a handful of blood ports to test with, so I completely understand if raze gets overlooked.

Very excited to play this mod after work even if it has a couple bugs here and there, just happy to have more blood content. Thanks for your hard work!

Thanks. I will look into Raze for the next release. No promises, since I don't want to change too much just for the sake of a single port, but I'll investigate.
