I took many liberties with the source material, however there are some similar game mechanics like breakable barrels, escaping from a cell and collecting weapon pieces. Watch out for secrets, you might find a secret level gem. All the graphics, sounds and music are changed.

The weapons feel under powered. For example, the rocket pistol feels weak and the firing rate is slow. Can you fix that?
The firing rate is going to be faster. I agree it is a bit slow.
A guy named Ermin is making a remake of Killing Time, a FPS that was released on the 3DO & PC platforms. He's the same guy who made the Solace Dreams mod. Are you going to use new sprites for the monsters in the later episodes since the original was never released?
Yes. New episode should have some new monsters. Will probably borrow some from a similar game, maybe some sprite edits.

Currently making a new version with the original Fate palette, which means the graphics will look a lot better.
