Well after Mr_Cyberpunk pointing out that guns should have some wear and tear I've decided it is absolutely true! Jlgx quickly remade the texture afterward. What do you guys think of this concept of you're average wasteland bully wielding dirty worn weapons and maybe the lords and vault dwellers and outside vault explorers wielding the nice clean shiny modern day pair?
It will be nicer if pistol in the game, characters have pistol who fits and not that is to big.I hope so that you will fix it!
That'll fit in nicely with the feel of the wastes. Nice work ;) Especially love the dirt on the handle- has a nice textured look to it.
Here is this thing:
Guns either look normal, or they don't work.
Once you get significant rust or scarring on the firearm, chances are the internal components are even worse. The gun will no longer feed properly or cycle reliably.
There should definitely be some holster wear, or perhaps a scratch or two, but the firearm shouldn't be rusted in any notable fashion.
please don't take this as an insult of any kind. Its certainly not meant as one and i apologize if it sounds like one,
Its a game, so who cares if the gun wouldn't fire in real world? its a game, in games impossible becomes reality, and in my opinion, the less real the better, the more it feels like it couldn't be done/ have worked in real world the better, since it makes you feel as though you're playing/wielding something special.
i know there's this sort of border line of acceptance, where people use this rule just to make their work easier, in these conditions its horrible, but if the teams focus on cleverly bending the natural laws, it gets really fun.
Either way, i really like the gun, nice work.
If you want less real, then why not fire a panda?...
I guess it's good that it's an awesome 3D Model for a game and not a photo ;)
i hope in the full version the blood doesent just cover the whole gun in blood.sorry for spelling
nice work, the rust and dirt an grime look nice! (Id never thought Id say that).
