Fall of Saigon is a Vietnam War modification for the Half-Life 2: source engine. The modification will be based in the realism of the Vietnam War, trying to portray things, events, and places as they actually were. The gameplay will also reflect as much of the realistic feeling as the development team is able to portray. The game will recreate the feeling of the jungle, or place the player in Saigon, or anywhere in between. The player will be emersed in all the sights and sounds of the jungle and will be able to use them to their advantage, and if they're not careful, it could be as dangerous as the enemy. Things have been progressing nicely here at the Fall of Saigon team. We've added a new coder who is working on getting claymores into the game. So expect to see explosions soon. Our talented animator has also been working diligently on bring our weapons to life and we will have a news post showing his work soon. So keep watching the mod.

And now on to the eye candy. Today we have a selection of fancy map props made by our Lead level designer AwesomePossum. Continuing with our goal of creating a vivid realistic world, he has created a collection of detailed models that feel natural and weathered. Below you will find his newest creations.
- Fresh waterlilies growing in the rivers around the cities and some other foliage such as the bird of paradise and a honey locust tree.
- A rainbow collection of bicycles to be strewn about the cities and back alleyways of Vietnam.
- Weathered rusty streetlamps with dust and dirt collecting in their glass bulb guards.
- Human powered, gyroscopic, banana delivery system. Bringing delicious potassium straight from the farm to your doorstep.

Level Designer: Our main level designer is working on generating models and textures to be used in the maps and we are looking to expand out team and get some more maps started.
Weapon Modeler: We are looking for a talented weapon modeler to help us finish off the rest of our basic class load outs so we can finish up the alpha version of the mod.
