Fall from Heaven II is a dark fantasy mod for Civilization IV. The Age of Ice has ended, what is left of the once great empires of man have formed into small tribes, ready to rebuild and retake that which was lost. Fall from Heaven II requires Civilization IV Beyond the Sword patch 3.17 to play.
It finally here. After exactly 3 years of development (it's also FfH's birthday) we have released the final version of Fall from Heaven. Thats not to say that we won't continue to support the mod through patches, but FfH now contains all the features we had planned for it. We now turn our attention form making the game to perfecting the game through bug fixes, documentation and specific tweaks.
This version also contains the Fall from Heaven scenarios.
It is finally here. After exactly 3 years of development (it was also FfH's birthday on December 16th) we have released the final version of Fall from Heaven. That's not to say that we won't continue to support the mod through patches, but FfH now contains all the features we had planned for it. We now turn our attention form making the game to perfecting the game through bug fixes, documentation and specific tweaks that just weren't possible to do while the mod was going through such massive changes.
This version also contains the Fall from Heaven scenarios. There are 18 and they feature a variety of unusual game rules and victory conditions, some of the scenarios are in series that require you to complete one to get access to the next one, the players actions and decisions in one scenario can effect the events in later scenarios and a full storyline following many of the most popular FfH
Since 2002 we have explored, played and enjoyed mods of all shapes and sizes just like Fall From Heaven II. We love games like Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword that have opened themselves up to modding. Because of communities like Workshop, Nexus, Curse, RTSL, GameBanana and Mod DB, more games support modding today than ever before.
Let's celebrate modding
As mods play a bigger role in the future of gaming, we believe it is important to recognize the effort the teams behind the work put in, giving us countless hours of enjoyment while asking nothing in return. We have the power to change our games and that needs to be celebrated to ensure it remains a big part of PC gaming's future.
It all started
In 2015, when the paid modding dispute left many gamers and modders worried about the direction the industry is headed. Things have since settled down, but we believe it is important to continue this small tradition to show we are not alone in our love for mods, and the open platforms that embrace them.
Mod Appreciation Week
Nothing is more motivating than knowing something you've built is being enjoyed by others. So this week if there is a mod you love on Mod DB (or anywhere else), make the effort to shout out to them, mention and link their mod in a tweet, blog, forum or facebook post with the hashtag #modlove2016 (or click the icons above for a pre-built post).
