Fairfield - the name of the city in the No Mercy campaign. This mod will bring the big open city that was first promised for l4d's campaign. Basically this will be a massive city in which you will have to survive for a certain amount of time and get to the to a helicopter some where in the map. More details will be added later.

Fairfield will feature multiple places and enterable buildings. A Shopping mart, a hospital, a police station, a gas station will all be featured with a unique roll, from weapons to food (Health), and gas to power generators. The game mode is Survival and perhaps survival versus in the future.

Mappers wanted!

6 years ago News 2 comments

I dont like how valve didnt make l4d into a huge city, so me and my noob mapping buddy decided to make a huge map for l4d 1 and l4d 2. I can do it my self, but I much much rather have some experienced mappers to help me create this massive map.

I would really appreciate it if some people would take the time to help me, or you could let me do the entire thing and let it take ages to create

If you want I could try to help you. I'm a pretty good mapper, or I could give you some idea's for parts of maps or ideas for Cresendo events.

Looks and sound interesting. Probably get me back into L4d again. I actually thought it was going to be bit less linear, co-op still, more open and more choice and much more survival style, when I first read about it in pc gamer. Was not disappointed, but would have been nice to see it take that direction. Or any zombie game today.

Look forward to seeing it progress, hope you get the right people to help out. And hope that the engine wont limit creativity with the map size, details etc. :)
Afraid I can't really help, but will track though, also just in case you might need one or two custom models in future.

And... Back up all the work now! A lot of mods lately seem to have hard-drive crashes occurring :D

It says it's a mod for left 4 dead when it's left 4 dead 2. You should fix that
