Long since in development, Faerun Total War is finally going to make a first release. A mod for M2TW Kingdoms, set in the world of Forgotten Realms, in the vast continent of Faerun. While our campaign is being reworked, the first release is focusing on custom battles.

Description

The Elves of Cormanthyr has been inside the campaign in my WIP since 2020, but I've been modding the campaign recently for the last couple of days adding more stuff to them, as well as implementing the other factions to the campaign as well.

There are no more vanilla peasants revolting, there are new rebel spawns during revolts and the brigands are also varied. I haven't completed that stuff yet because i would need the rest of the factions inside the mod for that.

In any case, the next version is guaranteed to have 17 factions in the campaign, and 18 in custom battle, but there is a high chance that they might be increased to 19 in the campaign, and 20 in custom.

If everything made for the mod was implemented it would be 22 factions, but there are 3½ factions with models that I believe are too demanding on the game. So I'm doubtful if I'm gonna implement them in the next release, that would be the Republic of Sembia and the Empire of Chondath.

As for the Kingdom of Damara they're already inside the mod thanks to WarcraftHero back in 2020, but they lag a lot.. And have performance issues, which is why I changed my mind about putting them in the campaign, they also do crash when you have more than 7 armies, even if only two are Damaran.

So my goal for the next release is to include all the rosters of factions made before the year 2020, and they will all be playable in the campaign - these rosters are confirmed to work well in the game without lag or CTD.

The release would be sometime in July 2024 for the next release that I call 0.3, but it's more like an 0.5 to 0.7.

Anyway, all the older rosters that were made prior to 2020, prior to them being HD, will be included for sure.

And the campaign already has a much better campaign-AI that is aggressive, vanilla assets vill be removed such as the strat-models and replaced by custom ones, gens/caps are already custom in battle, new custom bodyguards, new mercs.

It will be a beta without the HD rosters.
