It is very interesting project. I hope I will play this mod. I watched it in YouTube. It impressed me.

The best combat mechanic that I experienced on SP,the block detection and animations make the game impressive but is very limited to work with other mods and accept some pack skins, cause of his huge size I don't keep it maybe on the future I will download again, the combat looks more trustful but yet you can die by a mistake,is pretty interesting how the combat can be fluid if you compared with the original combat mechanic

Personally prefer this to evolution of combat 4, eoc4 glitched a lot compared to 3 which had a lot more customization involved mod-wise

For the sake of fairness, I'm not going to give this a flat 1. I haven't quite stuck through long enough to be able to judge the gameplay, and gameplay matters a lot with mods like these.

Regardless, it's saying something that the UI managed to get a player to abandon the mod without a thought for its gameplay. From the menus to getting killed, the one thing I didn't explicitly dislike was the HUD, and even that could have been a bit more informative and larger.

The only common theme I can identify is 'flood the screen with as much noise and functionality as possible without any apparent order'. There's the main menu's low-res fight scene constantly looping in fullscreen. Then we have the heaps and heaps of undescribed buttons in some menus, most of which seem to be intended to change the map (though one that immediately caught my eye was the one that spawns a Sith opponent).

The backgrounds for some of the menus (just about anything that isn't that fight scene, apparently) look like they're meant to be posters of some kind, yet another distracting eyesore. There's also the animation in the post-death UI.

Everything seems to be screaming either 'sloppily put together' or 'made to keep the player entertained when he's not playing'. The former is self-explanatory, and the latter, aside from making the mistake of assuming people spend THAT much time between games unless they're doing something else anyway, seems somewhat insulting. People do actually have an attention span exceeding that of a goldfish, they don't need to be forcibly reminded every step along the way that they're in a Star Wars game, or that they're in one particular mod.

As for the gameplay itself, the only complaint I can make based on the time I spent playing (in my three runs, I got killed by Vader, Sith Stalker killed Kyle or Rosh because I didn't go to the next room before spawning him, and I killed some kind of Noghri Sith) is that cheats seem have been forcibly disabled. As someone who's very fond of dropping the timescale to 0.45, and of just picking a spot on a map and spawning various enemies of my own choosing, I am quite dissatisfied (but also more understanding of this than the UI).

I don't know if EoCIV is going to solve either of those issues. To be perfectly honest, some of what's wrong in the UI isn't inherently bad), it's just badly executed. The fight scene? See every half-decent Empire at War mod, particularly The Pegasus Chronicles or Rise of the Mandalorians, and the Stargate mod for Command and Conquer Generals. The menus as a whole? Movie Battles 2, the abovementioned mods, and possibly the SkyLine UI mods (I haven't tried those, but they look okay).

Even just sticking with the base game's UI with or without minor modifications is fine, as evidenced by mods like EaW's Phoenix Rising, most Space Empires 5 mods, or most Star Ruler 2 mods (granted, this last one may be influenced by the fact that nobody knows HOW to make massive changes).

nice mod! this is an old game, but i still love it, this mod powered the game so high! Nice work and thanks for the effort you out in !

Great Job! I love you and this game all over again. Better than ever, no glitches. The install was very seamless. Kudos!
