Metroid: Federation at War for Forces of Corruption allows players to chose to play as either the Galactic Federation with Bounty Hunter Samus Aran and Commander Adam Malkovich or play as the Space Pirates with the Evil Phazon being Dark Samus and Geoform 187, Meta-Ridley.
New ability I came up with for Dark Samus to spawn Dark Echoes using the Deploy Squadron ability. So far it's not working too well. The ability doesn't work, but Dark Samus still spawns Dark Echoes, so there's no limit to how many are created. I think I'll have to go with my original with using Sirli's Summon Rancor ability.
It just looks so much cooler when they come right out of Dark Samus' body.
Choosing the abilities for Dark Samus in Metroid Prime Conquest was really a challenge for me because like Samus, there are so many things she can do. Unlike Samus, they are all very plausible and very useful on the Star Wars: Empire at War game engine. I actually wasn't happy with my choices, so I was super excited to see this. Which ability does this replace? I would recommend chucking invisibility since it was only used sparingly in the games and it would detract from the Kriken Empire's cloaking.
switch weapons to missiles?
I think he can come up with better than that. Dark Samus had a lot of cool abilities. Did she ever use missiles? If so, it was the least of her arsenal. I liked the idea of playing around with Phazon based drain and corrupt attacks, but I could only include one because I was trying to save a slot for invisibility. In hindsight, I wish I could have given her either Drain and Corrupt or Corrupt and Infect. This Dark Echoes idea looks even better.
we could always combine a beam weapon with a drain attack. that would be cool. a gun that heals dark samus the same damage it deals
