Enhanced Difficulty Initial Release. See main summary page for more info.
I am very discontent with the way the difficulty works in Crusader Kings 2, and i have thought about changing that way for a while. While i am in no way an experienced modder, i got inspired by Arumba's video and decided to do something about it.
This mini-mod adds 15 different varieties of difficulty-related traits based on 3 categories.
1.x modifies the opinion of everyone with the trait,
2.x modifies the stats of everyone with the trait, while
3.x modifies both of these.
.a Regular Edition: Does the least impact and is probably the most balanced.
.b Expanded Edition: Expands the effects a little.
.c Extreme Edition: Probably a bit too much.
.d Ridiculous Edition: A mild amount of cheating.
.e Cheat Edition: Don't download this if you want your game to make sense.
I do plan to update every one of the mod versions by making it event-based, so only the player character can have the trait, once i figure out event modding. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I will also soon release a version with a quick tutorial on how to edit the values to your own desired ones.
Installation & Usage
RULER DESIGNER REQUIRED FOR NOW - WILL MAKE EVENT BASED LATER IF POSSIBLE
Unpack and place in C:\Users\(Your Username)\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\Mod and enable it in the game launcher.
I recommend that you run Enhanced Difficulty with the normal difficulty setting to avoid a possible overkill.
Enhanced Difficulty should be compatible with every other mod.
Please do only use 1 version of Enhanced Difficulty at a time. The different versions are not compatible with eachother in any way.
Arumba07 for inspiration and the idea of Enhanced Difficulty.
Meneth for introducing me to CK2 Modding.
Please do not include this mod in any other without asking me permission first.
Also, please note that i am by no means a good graphical artist, so if anyone would want to redesign the icons, that'd be great!
Thank you very much for allowing me to take your time by reading this.
