What is Enemy Within? "Enemy Within" is an action/horror single player modification for Half-Life 2. This means that EW itself is a free download. However, you need to own Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike: Source to play it. Enemy Within is completely unrelated to Half-Life and it is therefore assumed that none of the events in Half-Life ever took place. Enemy Within is a heavily story-driven mod. It takes place in the year 2021, and you take the role of a former Special Forces operative, now working in the security force for a highly secretive research organization. A quite short description, and it might also look quite clichéd, but the story is meant to be experienced in the game and not read on a website.
