In 2036, the Sino-Korean alliance with 3 million soldiers, including 1.5 million North Korean troops and 1.5 million Chinese troops, launched a lightning attack to defeat nearly 1 million South Korean soldiers in just 3 weeks ceremony. As the vanguard, the North Korean army suffered heavy losses with nearly 500,000 men killed in the first three weeks of the war. After 2 months, the entire Korean peninsula was completely unified except for Jeju Island where 200,000 remnants of South Korean troops retreated to entrench.
To show the cohesion of the Sino-Korean alliance, the North Korean leader agreed to send 200,000 North Korean mercenaries to China to serve under the ranks of the APA alliance while China maintains 500,000 troops to help North Korea pacified the newly captured South Korean territory.
