The Enduring Freedom project is aiming to bring realistic combat simulation to the GEM 2 engine and is focused on the units involved in the initial coalition combat ops during Operation Anaconda in Afghanistan (Special Forces, 10th Mountain Div, and 101st Airborne). Conventional warfare will be presented as well. Project features and info can be located in the news section.

Reworked the existing shemagh which was lacking in detail/texture. This is the subdivided sculpt and is not reflective of the final tri count. The material in picture is a normal map material just in case people wonder why its technicolor:P

Can you include this in-game? (Coloring) It will make direct controlling against the terrorists alot easier. =D

how come the back is raised so much? will units that wear these be wearing a jacked with a lowered hoodie or something? or is this just how they are?

It's mainly to do with clipping. I had modelled a shemagh with all the extra wrap sections for the neck but it was clipping alot with vests and clothing variation on neck when AI turned their heads and ended up just looking baaaaad. Other thing possibly to do would be to incorporate shemagh into body mesh, but then you loose the ability to take shemagh off andr use it as head equipment on units you want it on for mission making.

If you can run MOW you can run this. There is to be heavy LOD optimization/mipmaps/etc on objects/textures to make it run on most systems. For example the only time the highres textures are used is when you zoom your camera in close to stuff. That was one thing I always disliked about MOW, it looks beautiful zoomed out but when you zoomed in....yuck:P
