The Enduring Freedom project is aiming to bring realistic combat simulation to the GEM 2 engine and is focused on the units involved in the initial coalition combat ops during Operation Anaconda in Afghanistan (Special Forces, 10th Mountain Div, and 101st Airborne). Conventional warfare will be presented as well. Project features and info can be located in the news section.
Phew, Im finally done with this A10 which has been dragging on and on and on and on and on... Next 2 pictures better illustrate the spec/normal map detail.
For now there is no interior modelled, but I can seriously see adding it in a beta patch or something...
Canopy glass will simply reflect sky ingame for now. I added the shark face as a texmod as requested by DEathgod65:) Take care.
Love it! Keep up the great work!
I could use liiittle bit more details on those wings^^
Look at the other screenshots, the texture detail is the same all around.
Regarding the interior, I think that's the least important thing to add. Keep up the great work you're doing!
Here look at this Arcair.com
I textured a A-10 already before and I know how much details it has. Also it lacks the Two tone camo. A-10's are actually not just pure grey. I recommend looking up FS Color charts and using the appropriate colors for painting so it will look even more real :)
Yes the A10 will have more detail added, I am just considering the texture work I have done on most stuff "first draft" as there is a TON of work to do.
Thanks for the suggestion on using Federal Standard color charts. I've been looking for something like this for a while now:)
can it come in(airstrike) with mini-gun and make that awesome sound that this plane only does ?
Once it is setup and exported as vehicle yes:D
How is the A10 going to be implemented in this mod? The view range and ceiling of most maps mean it can't be realistic no matter what (unless you never see it), but will it at least be doing flybys rather fast? The speed of air vehicles in vanilla Men of War is so unbelievably slow... for prop-driven aircraft. A jet fighter would just shatter any immersion if it did a strafing run at 50mph, in my opinion.
This is a very valid point. In missions it will be used as a close air support unit piloted by AI, you will request it for strafing runs. It will also be used in cinematics, or as a prop for airfields. It will be a very fast moving unit to answer your question.
