The Enduring Freedom project is aiming to bring realistic combat simulation to the GEM 2 engine and is focused on the units involved in the initial coalition combat ops during Operation Anaconda in Afghanistan (Special Forces, 10th Mountain Div, and 101st Airborne). Conventional warfare will be presented as well. Project features and info can be located in the news section.
Early smoke test of m224 smoke round (m302). Color of smoke to be tweaked and several other factors... With a couple dozen of these rounds you can fill a map up pretty quickly with cover smoke. Same method used to produce this smoke round will be used for vehicle smoke deployment as well.
hope it is effective.
working on it;)
In regular MoW atleast my smoke's had no affect! Threw a few and still everyone gets killed even when crawling i hope you make this like a wall , that AI cant snipe everything behind it!
I am going to see about setting up smoke to provide the same vision blocking to AI as a brick wall does. I did this with bushes. If enemy ai on other side of bush detect a shot but dont see it, they will approach bush to investigate it. If they detect sound on other side of bush they will begin taking potshots through bush wildly. Sometimes if they are on other side of bush and you fire, they will fire in your general direction but if you move your unit a few meters to the left or right of original position they wont know where you moved to.
Great to hear! :D
very good and strategical option that is needed in MowAS..
