Hi There,

I am struggling with late.pack and early.pack files - they seem to mess up the campaign by turning all flags to France. all other pack files seem to work but I am unable to see any Characters on the campaign map i.e. troops or agents. Any thoughts? Did I need to download 4.0 for this? On Mac latest OS, non-Steam version of ETW

Thanks!

Thanks for this!

Seems to work on MacOS (steam) but the flags in campaign and battle aren't working. They look like the right texture is missing but if you zoom in far enough the right flag appears to be underneath the distorted version. Adding/ removing the flagpoles mod doesn't seem to change anything.

emplex same on my end - did you use one or both of late.pack or early.pack? and is this the lone install or do I need 4.0 as a base? Thank you so much in advance, returning to ETW ten years later on a Mac and trying to make it happen :)

I updated the archive to include fixed flags for MacOS. If you re-download it and apply rolling patches atop, you should have all the flags visible and not glitchy anymore.

Hi all, the instructions in the Word readme do not work for my Macbook Pro M1 Max Sonama.

However, once you download the mod files, copy and paste the files beginning with _it into the data folder, rather than replacing the whole folder - it works fine.
Then replace the campaign folder with the mod one.

It works!

Why are comments not active on Empire 2 4.3?

I have 4.0 and I like to know what the changes are in 4.3 before I download over 20 gbs.

Do I need to download all of the 20 gbs or can I just download the newest patch to 4.0?

I guess I'll have to google some videos to see what's new in 4.3, I don't like to go on discord.

Edit: I figured it out.

Fix 4.3 or tell us how to start late campaign. I'm at 1720 and the AI still has pike and shot this is exactly why it never needed a 1690 start the AI don't research anything and they get bankrupted after turn 1 ends and they don't repair ships. At least on the late or 1700 start the AI could already recruit good units and 1690 has barely any interesting units so its pointless anyway 8 units? Why are you making the mod worse? Baffling.

⦁ LATE CAMPAIGN (STARTS IN 1783)
In ETWII you can play the late campaign starting in 1783. In order to do so you need to do the following:
⦁ Go to %APPDATA%/The Creative Assembly/Empire/scripts,
⦁ Open ETWII_scripts folder,
⦁ Open LATE folder,
⦁ Open NOVMD folder
⦁ Copy the user.empire_script.txt file inside.
⦁ Go back to %APPDATA%/The Creative Assembly/Empire/scripts and paste the user script you have just copied
⦁ You will now play the Late Campaign

The mod is beyond broken the AI don't do anything. They all have technology to get out of pike and shot but none of them are building higher level barracks. This is the worst mod I have ever played for any game its completely scuffed

I'm not on discord so this question or suggestion might fall on deaf ears?

I've been playing other overhaul mods and came across Succession-A Total War: Empire revival mod in that mod it adds 3 playable factions Denmark, Portugal and Scotland and it gives them missions on turn 2 to capture certain settlements and it also gives diplomacy missions to I think Austria, Sweden and Prussia on turn 2.

So what I'm getting at can you add new individual mission for factions in your next update, that would add more immersion, thanks.

Hello, anyone willing to help a computer-challenged but devoted ETW gamer install the latest mod on his Mac? I would compensate for the help if you'd like, thanks!
