So after checking Episode 4, 5 , and 6, indeed those units have red blasters. I changed them to green because of my experiences in playing Galactic Battlegrounds. In 1.74 EAW and 1.71 FOC, I have restored them back to red to match the movies. However, if you still wish to keep them green, it is very simple to make the changes.
All you need is notepad. This works for both EAW and FOC.
- Stormtroopers:
- Find the file - groundinfantry.xml
- Search for "Stormtrooper"
- Look for the line "projectile_types"
- Change "Proj_Hand_Blaster_Red" to "Proj_Hand_Blaster_Green"
- ATST:
- Find the file - groundvehicles.xml
- Search for "AT_ST_Walker"
- Look for the line "projectile_types"
- Change "Proj_ATST_Blaster_Cannon_Red" to "Proj_ATST_Blaster_Cannon_Green"
- Scroll down to the "barrage" ability of ATST
- Find the line "Projectile_Types_Override"
- Change "AT_ST_Barrage_Red" to "AT_ST_Barrage_Green"
- ATAT:
- Find the file - groundvehicles.xml
- Search for "AT_AT_Walker"
- Look for the line "projectile_types"
- Change "Proj_Ground_Laser_Cannon_Red_ATAT" to "Proj_Ground_Laser_Cannon_Green_ATAT"
- Veer's ATAT: Since it is a special unit, it is not in the same file as the original ATAT.
- Find the file - uniqueunits.xml.
- Search for "veer" and it will take you to "Veers_AT_AT_Walker"
- Look for the "projectile type."
- Simply change "Proj_Ground_Laser_Cannon_Red" to "Proj_Ground_Laser_Cannon_Green"
- Scroll down a little to Veer's Max Power ability. You will see "projectile override" line.
- Simply change "Proj_Veers_AT_AT_Max_Power_Laser_Red" to "Proj_Veers_AT_AT_Max_Power_Laser_Green"
That's it!
