For all of the EVE Online and Dust 514 fans out there this mod is here to bring the universe of EVE into FoC. This mod will add all four races,all ships along with EVE and Dust aspects to Star Wars Forces of Corruption for single and multiplayer.
Models exported from 3dsmax9 are working fine in game but are tranceparent in certain areas if anyone knows a fix for this please tell me so i can get this mod out to everyone.
Everything else is fine except for this i don't know what the problem is this does not appear in max only in the alo viewer and in game.
there are 2 possible reasons for that
1) are these areas transparent in 3dsMax too?
if so => than you must flip the normals.
when you export Models from blender to max, it could happen that some of the normals become wrong.
2) EaW/FoC seems to have problems if a single mesh got to many polygons.
in this case => separate the mesh. Export it as usual as one file, but you got in this file not one big Mesh but a group of small meshes.
Blender slang: note, each mesh must be a own objekt, select the faces you want to separate, than use the combo "strg+p" , don`t now how to do it in max
Thank you for responding so fast , I think it might be the second reason because they are not transparent in max only when they are in the alo viewer and in game so thank you I will work on fixing the problem.
ah, I made a mistake, to separate just hide the "p" button and not "strg+p" and click in the new window on "selection"
I fixed the problem it was the normal's i fliped them and now the models are appearing fine again thank you for helping me solve the prob :P.
