This is a really good mod. It has a great atmosphere and interesting story, and curious little touches that make it very fun to explore. It's showing serious merit.

The writing is good when it comes to the dialogue, but some of the in-game documents were far weaker. The newspaper cut-outs at the beginning especially.

But the quality of this mod is good enough you can forgive stuff like that. If there's a part two then I will be playing it, and I hope there is.

Most unique mod i ever played. It's fully inspired by silent hill and it's really great.

This mod had some interesting ideas implemented that I have not seen before. Finally an interactive NPC in amnesia! The usage of skulls to solve puzzles was also quite unique.

-------- Episode 1

While lacking in the monster/scare-factor department and is full of those ugly penumbra assets (SOMA has tons of assets that are easy to use instead), the mod manages to show something new, with clear inspirations from Silent Hill, the Cthulhu Mythos and Bloodborne (sometimes a bit too much, but no biggie). At some parts it felt a bit rushed with some unused potential, and some things weren't that clear (like revisiting rooms for things to appear) but all in all, so far it provided a memorable experience, and i'm looking forward to see more.

I especially liked how sanity was used in the mod. Really good job on that one, also the NPC was a nice addition and was functioning properly for the most part.

Side note: don't use the built in coin mechanic as reloading the game makes the requirement appear as 0. By the time i found out where collectibles are used, requirement already showed 0 and i had no idea how much i should have found.

Also you might want to make the vase breaking a little less awkward, i saved the game before breaking the pot, not sure if i could even softlock myself by breaking it in a bad spot.

-- Just read the secret files. It's a bummer episode 2 will not happen :(
I decided to change my rating up a little, it's a 9.5/10.
Thanks for this anyway!

Very nice mod, the first of this kind I've seen for Amnesia. I like exploration and puzzles, so this was exactly up my alley. The player is tought the "rules" of the game step by step by just being put in the appropriate situations.

The horror aspect was low, which is totally OK for me but might disappoint others looking for jump scares.

I'm eagerly awaiting further eposides.

It isn't often when we get such an interesting mod like this. The mixture of unique scenarios and assets makes for an enjoyable experience like no other, and is guaranteed to frighten you. My only complaint would be how dark it is. Like seriously, it is pitch black without your flashlight on. My battery ran out when I was in the basement of the Library, so I couldn't continue. It was too dark to see anything.

This was a great mod. It was very original and creative and you could tell a lot of time and energy was put into it. The puzzles were interesting and new and I was absolutely thrilled with the new monsters. By far the creepiest Amnesia mod I have ever played. The only reason I didn't give a full 10 is that I had to load the apartment section multiple times because it kept bugging out on me. Other than that, phenomenal game. (Wish it was a little longer, but if this really was only episode 1, then I'm ******* pumped for the next episodes!!)

It's pretty unique when compared to many other Custom Stories.
-the 3D model for the female NPC felt a bit off, but this is probably due to limitations of the game engine.
-a couple of puzzles weren't too obvious to me (probably due to my poor puzzle solving skills).

Great idea, poorly executed.

The idea of the environment changing based on sanity level is genuinely a brilliant idea, however I feel it is heavily under-utilized.

So far, all it really does is grant you access to certain items and already existing areas. I feel it would great to have the entire environment change, all the textures and perhaps there would be new paths and such (I don't know if this would be too difficult or impossible).

This mechanic does also unfortunately allow you to get softlocked. If your sanity is too low, the mushrooms will not restore your sanity enough to take away the insanity goop and you won't naturally recover sanity enough for it to go away.

I also think some of the puzzles need more hints. I got lost on some for quite a long while, I've needed to get a walkthrough multiple times and it took THAT person quite a while as well.

Overall it's a great idea but there's just so much missed potential, softlocks, and poorly hinted at puzzles.
