ESF is a fast paced, 3rd person fighter based on the hit anime, Dragonball Z. Select your favorite character and fly, power up, transform, melee, and beam your enemies into pulp. Each character is given signature moves and abilities to compliment different style of play. Some are stronger in hand to hand combat, others are better with energy attacks. Play in three different game modes, deathmatch, team deathmatch, and capture the dragonballs. There is a learning curve so newbies beware. This is not your normal Half-life mod.
Animal AI One of the old school ESF developers is back in action. Rick (aka "Me") has returned to further his work on the bots as well as other side projects. For example, Rick has been working on an animal AI system that will allow mappers to add different types of creatures to maps. This system will allow for a variety of creatures

Oh yes! We went there...
What are we looking at here?
The image above shows a couple new features that the coders have been experimenting with.
Animal AI
One of the old school ESF developers is back in action. Rick (aka "Me") has returned to further his work on the bots as well as other side projects. For example, Rick has been working on an animal AI system that will allow mappers to add different types of creatures to maps. This system will allow for a variety of creatures that players will be able to interact with. Have you ever wanted to punch a dinosaur in the face? Me too...
Radial Blur
Raven has been experimenting with adding radial blur to ESF's visual FX set.
Awesome!
sweet
ESF will have bot soon!
so what are the odds of this ever becoming independent?
(oops, meant to post this on the main wall, but I guess this works)
It's always going to be a half-life 1 mod. Would be nice for them to make an independent game after their done with esf, though
We did have talks about that. But anything we make will be original design. So that we wont have any copyrights to watch out for.
:O Karma can count! Give me four!
I just hate one thing in esf, thats its no.of characters...they're very less.
And they are unique. Unlike most DBZ games where you have 100 characters that are preety much exact copies of each other.
yeah its not about quantity but quality..
like BFP, blahh that game sucked with the characters :/
Agreed.
BFP, I tried every character.
Only 3 of them had unique movesets.
What is awesome is that you guys manage to push the engine so far beyond what it was made for.
not*..damn my spelling fail
I hope there will be some great DBZ mod for spark engine when it released =)
looks great btw :D
guys u know what happened, i can play esf 1.3 open beta with bots but after certain time the game closes and it says that some file has over loaded... what do i do?
Thats the bots.
they crash the game.
Sweet update! I like the blurring effects, and the animal AI sounds like a really nice touch.
So cool!
holy crap gohan looks sooo little lol
ok this is game is so good that i will buy a new pc just for it
