ESF is a fast paced, 3rd person fighter based on the hit anime, Dragonball Z. Select your favorite character and fly, power up, transform, melee, and beam your enemies into pulp. Each character is given signature moves and abilities to compliment different style of play. Some are stronger in hand to hand combat, others are better with energy attacks. Play in three different game modes, deathmatch, team deathmatch, and capture the dragonballs. There is a learning curve so newbies beware. This is not your normal Half-life mod.

It definetly has best graphic and is following very famous anime, but actuall gameplay may be bad or good and the whole game depends on that.

In all 2D DBZ games finishing Buster is shown as a blue ball.

Thats the version we are using.

SSJ3 Trunks is not accurate ^^

Besides Finishing buster is an attack created especially for the games. He never uses it in the manga or the series.

hmm what about rb rb2 (they are only fall with on state and off state) or all budokai, will you say what they aren't accurate?

But good idea will be if in normal form finish buster will be blue in ss will be yellow and more powerfull ofcourse))

Trunks has that move in normal form because our FX artists needed to experiment, and the SSJ form had animation problems. A debug if you will.

Chances are he wont have that attack in normal form when finished.

As for the coloring. We tend to stick to the manga, but leave a lot of free reign to our artists. And while we will not be having a green kamehameha or anything like that, attacks that are iffy to begin with like the finishing buster are a different story. Its up to the artists to make them as they see fit.

And since it was originally blue and then recolored to yellow, thats what they picked for the older versions and thats what they picked now.

Again that attack was invented for the 2D games. It is in no way connected to the series. trunks only has it in our game, because he lacks attacks.

that seems like laziness to me , these things are sorted out before and not left hanging on the artists choice , also if the video games show ssj3 trunks then its accurate over a 2d unofficial game

macdaddymario Dec 16 2012 replied:

You misunderstood. The 2D games he was talking about was the Budokai series of games, back on the PS2. The move was invented there, and was blue. They changed the color for it in recent games for no real obvious reason. So ssj3 Trunks/Broly, characters that we created for only 2 official 3D games, is not accurate over an established series of characters from previous official 2D and 3D games.

He lacks attacks? Pretty sure he has a lot of them.. Like Burning Attack, Buster Cannon.. What are the attacks that are going to be in the game?

Surely you guys are going to have Heat Dome Attack right? That's like the penultimate Trunks move.

macdaddymario Dec 16 2012 replied:

You've listed 2 attacks that could be used, Burning Attack and Buster Cannon, which can be used outside of a scripted event. Maybe with the bonus melee system 'Heat Dome Attack' can be used as a tier 3 finishing move, but not as a "fire whenever you want" move.

All that being said, the 2 you listed, plus the basic ki blasts and generic ball/beam gives Trunks like 5 moves in any 1 form. Put that next to say, base form Goku, who has the ki blasts, generic ball/beam, kamehameha, solar flare, kame torpedo and Spirit Bomb.. both big and small.. Trunks is really lacking. So using moves like this to pad out say.. his Super Saiyan form gives him something worth playing for.
