I figured i would post a picture of the Harkonnen assault tank, so that you guys can see what it looks like Its not perfect. I need to know what you guys think should be changed with it. |

i realize that. i had no frame of reference to go by. everything from dune that i found was just pictures of the sprites. I'll use that photo that you have. i'll probably redo the skin entirely. It was really bugging me for some reason. Edit: Ok, i used that picture you showed me silen, and I've got something that is closer to that. I'm still trying to get the feel of how to skin units for this environment, but this should be much closer. By the way, the objects that are mostly left white are going to be the unit's house color. If I should change that, then tell me. I completely changed the skin, and if you guys see any changes that should be made, tell me. I need as much input as i can get. Is that any better? |

The green variant rocks not.. It looks like being grown with sea weed. I prefer the first variant cuz it in Harkonnen style. The metal things should be made more detailised and the armor above the tracks shouldn't look so rusty, it's a tank, not a trasher machine ) Edited by: AL_Hassan |

Green? i didn't add any green into it really. I tried following the picture that silen put on there as best as possible. If i filter out some of the green of the second one, would that be better? I have some ideas on skinning. Because there are so many different ways that the different games (emperor, dune 2000, dune 2) have shown the models, it might be hard to find one that suits everyone perfectly. Right now i just want to find one style that you guys agree on. I know that at first these might not look the best, but thats ok. I need to test out and see what doesn't work before i find one that does. By the way, Hassan, if you have any buildings for the harkonnen done being modeled, I would like to try them. I have a feeling that if I could finish a building first, then the concept for units might come a bit easier. |

The only buildings that I can offer right now are Wind trap and Harkonnen defences. And the defences are already on your mail in 3ds format. They are easy to map, so less probles with them comparing with the tank. And try not to be greedy on details, as CnC-3 engine will allow quality really higher than in Generals |
