The Tactical Duel Map is the map equivalent of the duel mode. You start with lvl 1 hero and week 6 army strength, level up via sphinx, buy artifacts, learn spells, upgrade and you're ready for battle! This version marks the next phase for the Duel Map development. More to come but for now it's time to release a playable version.

Following the previous update, the map has evolved a fair bit.

The map now features several textures from GEMs, thanks to Xuxo! GEMs is a well-known mod which you probably already know of but if not, I can't recommend it enough. Personally, I like the fairytale aesthetic of the game but some textures.. really could be better. As such, the grass bushes, sand bushes, palm trees, flowers, scarecrow and leprechauns have deceived a refreshing makeover and along with them, the map and battlefield design.

Arenas now feature their own unique obstacles so a farm-themed arena will have different obstacles from that of a forest or a city square, despite them all being grass arenas.
An oasis-themed arena has also been added!

One of the player requests was to diversify the artifact effects. The original artifact setup has mostly returned, along with set bonuses. However, morale/luck artifacts are limited to +/-1, initiative artifacts to +/-5%, elemental boosters to 15-20%, elemental protections to 15% and relic prices range from 12500 to 15000. Set bonuses are a tad more reasonable.

A few heroes have been revised:
-Alaron starts with Archdruids that have druid elder spells plus Channeling and improved hp/spellpower.
-Isabel starts with expert training and an additional 3 priests pre-trained to cavaliers (25 total)
-Rolf starts with
+10% tier 1, 2, 3 troops, as a nod to his original SIlver Tongue spec.
-Wulfstan in addition to his extra brawlers gains +1 Attack.

Regarding unit Gameplay:
-Unit damage range is closer to the original game but not as extreme.
-Unit
regeneration improved, to catch up with the increase in army strength.
-Imperial griffins and skirmishers received +1 max dmg.
-Assassins received
+1 weekly growth.
-Treants and Hydras are up a tier, making them more resilient to hero attacks.
-Now basic dino riders are unmounted! If you felt not having an actual velociraptor in the game was a missed opportunity, you're welcome!

A few third al upgrades added:
-Succubus alt: Ranged attacks trigger a fireball, like magogs. Special thanks to the Evoked one for helping with the attack pattern xdb!
-Treant alt: Battlerage, Regeneration(passive) and an Earthquake spell that damages and stuns everything!
-Blood sister alt: Assault at the cost of slightly reduced stats. Sisters are often used as turn 1 blockers but now they can dish out some damage.
-Gnoll alt: Battlerage, plus their morning stars have a sweep effect.
