The Tactical Duel Map is the map equivalent of the duel mode. You start with lvl 1 hero and week 6 army strength, level up via sphinx, buy artifacts, learn spells, upgrade and you're ready for battle! The second part of the planned update. We're almost there.

First part of the update was released a couple of weeks ago.

Here is what we've been working on in the meantime!

- Artifact Merchants are back to two. With three Merchants, you could often get +7-9 to a specific stat which could lead to some overkill damage :) Academy and Dungeon still retain their town merchants of course.

- Master of Conjuration now gives the Conjuration spell (aka Summon Elementals). For a summoner build it really helps to have this in addition of the Phoenix. The summons are also summoned faster so they can join the battle earlier! Conjuration summons are summoned at 50% Atb and the Phoenix at 25% Atb. Finally, the Conjuration summons have been toned down because their stats made them particularly hard to kill but now they scale better with spellpower. You can summon more of them.

- Raise Dead summons fully dead stacks at 50% Atb. The map does not allow you to have ridiculous amounts of spellpower and if you focus on it, you will be lacking in might skills. This will more than likely be tied to a skill but for now you can enjoy the effect for free :)

- Regeneration healing has been toned down but now lasts 3 turns. On an average initiative unit it heals the same as Resurrection but during those 3 turns, you can make your profit with haste, morale or waiting. This is still under testing.

- Seraph is no longer Immune to Curse spell. Its minimum damage is only 5 less than the Archangel but dark casters being unable to counter bless on it was a bit problematic.

- Retaliation Strike now has a much deserved unique visual! Dispel also has a separate visual when it fails to remove a buff.

- Excruciating Strike gives +50% to hero damage instead of +100%. Barbarians with powerful blow and hasted shamans on high morale could get pretty brutal ^^

- The now unified Shatter skill has a new icon, thanks to (1)[H]nZ88!
