DragonBall Source is a DBZ mod for Half-Life 2's Source Engine. This mod is now a Multiplayer Mod, and not SinglePlayer like previously intended. Each character will be assigned their own specific set of attacks, with power levels balances to create fair and balanced gameplay. The main multiplayer game is a team based game with two different sub-modes, namely "Capture the Dragonballs" and "King of the Hill". The "Saiyan Saga" (first release) has been released and is currently available via the Downloads page. The next major release will be the "Namek Saga" containing even more characters and maps. There will also be more features, which will mainly focus on transformations. The new character list hasn't been decided upon yet, but there should be between 15 and 20 extra characters to choose from.

Firstly, we must apologise for the lack of updates we have shown recently, it's not that there has been nothing to show, nah, it's that I've just not had the time recently to actually post anything. So when i say "we must apologise" i actually mean that i should apologise.

Well never mind that, Gundy put out a good update for everyone on the forums, and i'm just posting it here now for all to see in it's glory, you can see the screenshots below also.

The update is mainly of the developments in our Aura. Many people didn't seem to like the look and style of the aura we showed previously, so we listened, and responded, after all, thats why we like you to post on our forum with your opinions, since it helps us make the game better. The Aura has been made more "aura like" and clear. There are still no other effects to go with the aura yet (like rising debris, etc), but you can clearly see it's progressing well.

if you think it's better or worse than before, please visit our forums and tell us in detail what you think. It might sound like some cheap way of getting activity on our forums, but your comments really do help us develop the mod for the better... plus it gets more activity on our forums :D

Now onto Goku, well as you can see from the above screenshot, he's been fixed up (by Bile), skinned (by Reckoning of Fire) and rigged (by Gundy). Oh, and just as some cheap way of getting my name in lights, I made that hover pose that Goku is using.

Goku's been a long time coming ingame, and the old version was never fixed up from the early days in DBSource, and has finally been done. Thats not to say it takes us approx 1 year to get a model sorted out ingame, just means he was sitting on the side lines while we got other stuff done, and to prove it... hmm... well you'll just have to wait for other updates to come to see more stuff.

Thanks for bearing with us for about 2-3 weeks while the weekly update almost started turning into a monthly one, I'll get it back on track to a weekly one and you can expect to see something nice next week also.

Looks nice. Maybe make the aura a bit brighter to stand out amongst the landscape, such as when you're flying around, and then yer good.
