Doom Reborn is a total conversion of the original Doom Series. Our goal is to recreate the original Doom & Doom 2 in the idTech4 engine with new textures and new models of the original weapons and monsters with the maps redone and retextured. We also want to bring back the orignal doom music along with the sounds remade in a higher quality. Doom Reborn is and always will be a non profit project. I hope that you will enjoy the project as much as we will enjoy making it for you.

did you ever actually play Daikatana? or are you just saying that to be cliche? Daikatana is proof that game critics never play past the first 10% of the game.

Yeah I bought it along with Anachronox from gog some time last year, I also got the updated patches that have come out from the group John Romero gave the Daikatana sdk source code too, which have since produced fixes etc to the game, I played a good bit without the patch then replayed them bits and further to experience the changes compared to the original, I did get stuck a few hours in trying to rescue this guy.
I enjoyed what I played and I intend on finishing it, But Daikatana is not a fair reference to try and judge John's expertise, He took a leap faith with Daikatana by trusting SO Many people on his team which where only modders and never worked on a full true game from beginning to end, His team walked out and left him to finish it off mostly by himself,
All the crap that came about from the internet on Daikatana and John Romero over simply the past 6years (youtube videos this is based off) has hurt his reputation, I've watched and enjoyed probably all the Daikatana hate videos,
But I COMPLETELY trust John Romero's development skills, And because of all them hate videos is probably why John & Adrian our producing a demo of the Blackroom idea to aid the kickstarter when they start it up again,
I think we are all going to be pleasantly surprised when we see it :)

Regardless of whether you personally like the game or not, you cannot deny Daïkatana was an unmitigated fiasco...

this is fantastic. Love the plot device, it is really fantastic for modding, being able to create levels that can fit the "room"

I just want to see content before I pitch anything in. Anyone reversed the message? I doubt it's "In order to win this game you must kill me, John Romero".

Yeah I reversed and pitch shifted the message right away, But it's still not 100% clear but it does say something like "Whiteroom Campaign by John Romero"

All I did was reverse, Pitch shift up by 150, but you need to clean the sound you'll hear, "something room campaign by John Romero" But I'm sure someone is going to clean it up better by removing the slight echo and noise which was added in. :)
I'll add a link hear to the reversed message for yous to
download and listen if yous want
