Are you ready to be a Time Lord and save another day of San Andreas? "Doctor Who: Daleks Invasion" is a mod based on the longest British sci-fi TV show - Doctor Who. About an alien time traveler AKA "The Doctor", who and his companions travel through time and space in his space-and-time-ship, the TARDIS. Together they fight against the evil and help people in need. By playing this mod, you can be like the Doctor, with a blue box and a sonic screwdriver, passing through, helping out. Come on! what is the point of having a time machine?

Hi, I recently found a problem with this mod and figured it would be best to post it. Before I dive in, I should mention I am using windows 7 x64 bit OS for my main PC and using the 3.0 version of the mod. OK without further ado, here is the problem.

After playing the game for a while, I would find myself needing to summon the tardis again since I was far away from it. Up to this point I would have summoned it about 9 times at different locations across the map. For some reason when I would go to summon it the tenth time, CJ would take out the key, the key would glow, and you would think that everything would go fine. However, at the exact moment (as I would find out later) when CJ would put the key away, The game would crash on windows 7. So after a while of testing different fixes I thought might work since I get these crashes a lot with mods, I decided to try it on my windows xp computer just for the sake of argument. Here is what I discovered, Unlike on my Win7 PC where it would crash, Windows XP would handle things a little different.

CJ would take out the key like normal, it would glow, then right when he would normally put it away the game would instantly slow to like 2 fps. The tardis key wouldn't unload resulting in CJ holding the key over any other weapons selected (The weapon selected would change, but cj would still be holding onto the tardis key/selecting the gun would result in cj shooting with the key). The tardis would still spawn but be discolored, instead of blue it would be a grayish white color.

Despite all of this, I was able to get inside the tardis and do a vortex flight (after about 15 min. that is). Interestingly enough, the game went back to normal FPS when in the time vortex but slowed down to 2fps again when exiting the time vortex (This is visually, pressing space to exit the vortex still took some time). I have included some images as well so hopefully they will help. It may also be worth noting that over the span of all this the tardis never loaded its blue color not even in the time vortex.
