Hi again, ModDB! Not much time passed from our last update. And here we are again, presenting you somebody you already know – Fastwalker. Now – in flesh and blood flesh and steel polygons and normal maps.
12000 triangles, 2048 diffuse+normal+specular, six very fast legs with sharp claws and a pulse rifle.
This sinth is a lot more mechanical, than others, and this providing him more mobility and strenght.
Work on animation is started now, and this will be a challenge.
In far perspective, we would have more new monsters. Classic ones – houndeyes, bullsquids, Gargantua... But, there will be some experiments, with their classic appearance, up to absolutely new species. Houndeye shepherd, or cave bullsquid, for example.
First one – is harmless without its houndeye minions, but when its not alone... God help you. You can say, it gave a bonus in speed, tactics, armor and life for every houndeye in vision range. And have an ability to summon more houndeyes from every hole in the ground. Sounds a bit like in DnD rules :)
Cave bullsquid – is a blind monster with pale transparent skin. It has long and sticky tentacles, and it can sneak in the darkness close enough, to get to your unprotected femoral artery and suck out life, to the last drop...
