In Desolated you play an Ex-Marine Dave who lost his family. The so called "Monsters" holded up a supermarket and killed his wife same as his two children. In this belief he wanted just to kill all that creatures, no matter of the price. But soon he'll understand, that he fought against the wrong and that there's no real evil or good... In Desolated: The Crying Fate you play the revenge-campaign of Dave and you will get through a lot of different places, for example a village, a train, a facility and so on. So the architecture is going to change very often and also the way of mastering the different places, either. The Modification will have new maps, models, textures, sounds etc. same as a money system, a "new" weapon called Firegun instead of the Plasmagun. What is so special about the mod is the story written by a talented story-writer and the plot is about the good and evil complex, but not like good vs. evil, it's going to be more special and new, a mod with a new kind of story.
A news item giving some facts about the future of the Mod.

The future is something dark 'cause we dunno what's gonna happen next. And we fear the things we dunno, either do I. But my fear is, when the mod is going to be done. How's it going on, I mean the whole development? In this news I thought I could give you some ideas on how the mod will proceed.
Development is the thing every mod is going through, all is spinning around this. Desolated got a special kind of development I wanna introduce but I don't wanna talk about the past, no, I'll talk about the future. I'm in the army and therefore time is an expensive gift, I'll only have time for the mod nearly every weekend. Two days a week ain't much for such a big modification, so I hope you don't mind that the release is that late, december or even later. What am I going to do on those weekends? I'll work my ass off to get it done. Mapping, modeling, texturing... and therefore let's get to the next part of the news:
Help. If there's anyone out there who wanna help us in any way, even just creating a model needed or painting some textures. It'll be like you would write me to davethefreak@scholze-wsb.de and simply say how you can help. But be keep in mind, it's only possible at the weekend. I would give you a task and you have time for about one or two weeks, even just for a model. So every single hand helping us will make the development go faster. That's all for now...
Greetings,
Dave
