The world has broken down due to a person called the president of the USA. It started in Afghanistan and ended up with the crazy thought of owning the world. It swapped over to Europe and finally the whole world was in the 3rd world war. The next step have been nukes which destroyed the picture of the world we had in mind. Just a few survived this catastrophe and ended up in holes to hide but the day is coming to cancel stashing. Now it's all about getting back to the earths surface and fight... fight for just one thing: Your EXISTANCE.

Up to day the biggest part of our work was testing after we had reached the technical alpha status. Yesterday we had one big session, we played some hours though and had the chance to make some fresh screenshots during the nice fragging time. As you can see we had a really fucked-up and heavy match. The second good news is that quite all bugs are fixed for now. We had no crashes, everything worked fine. We really enjoyed it. Hope you like the screens ;)

In the meantime we are planning a trailer, which will contain pure ingame sequences combined with real-life footige to show you how the gameplay's like and to illustrate the story of DAZE. We think about offering some development parts as well, but we are not fully sure about that.

The other parts of developing proceed very fast, too. We work on some maps and models as well as on textures, particles and sound stuff. Furthermore an own soundtrack is in development. The estimated first release will be in december/january. It will propably contain nearly all features and three maps then.

I started back in November 2007 creating a first draft of DAZE. DaveTheFreak was already working on Desolated that time. Just had the idea to create a new type of experience by defining a completely new way of how the player gets sucked into the action.
I contacted maha_X because of his work on "BrilliantBloom". He was the one who sponsored us the bloom and who implemented the b/w-filter. This was the breakpoint for the project. Dave got involved and then MacX and Sebultura joined the team. OneOfThe8Devils solved some crucial problems as well.

Since then a lot of new features have been added and adapted based on the concept while I was responsible for mapping, scripting, texturing, the main design, some small coding issues and getting the whole thing together in combination with bug-fixing. We all create an incomparable piece of art and gameplay. Thank you guys. This is dedicated to you ;)
