The world has broken down due to a person called the president of the USA. It started in Afghanistan and ended up with the crazy thought of owning the world. It swapped over to Europe and finally the whole world was in the 3rd world war. The next step have been nukes which destroyed the picture of the world we had in mind. Just a few survived this catastrophe and ended up in holes to hide but the day is coming to cancel stashing. Now it's all about getting back to the earths surface and fight... fight for just one thing: Your EXISTANCE.

We promised that something interesting might happen. The first official Trailer of DAZE is done now! We worked for over a year to create a fucking great game. Now you have the chance to see it on your own! Time passed by. Blood, sweat and tears marked our ways. We did not give up, we planned, we mapped, we coded, we searched for help. That is the result of all that. Watch and feel still unused potential of the id-tech4, at least until now! This is the striking proof that Doom3 can do it too. Dive into the harsh and dark world of DAZE!
On friday we started the first recordings. But we had a small problem. A part of our team was not available on the weekend. We had not enough players to mess around, truly. But we were lucky with somebody. Gurra300(Phobos) came in an helped us out. I also wanna thank my good friend DaveTheFreak. He was the one who hosted the server and helped recording footage. Furthermore thanks a lot to Nude. His Track 'Something Good' for the Mod is just great. Visit his artist-page here. Without those three guys, the trailer would not have been possible.
In the next time there will be another special for you. So keep eyes open and keep yourself up-to-date as well. It's definetly worth it....

Multiplayer?
Yes, it's a multiplayer modification. There's a singleplayer mod, too, but it's beeing developed by another team. Our mod is multiplayer only.

Don't get me wrong. When the word first came out, DooM 3 had AWESOME potential. Too bad it was wasted on slowpaced, boring & experimental gaming. They should've left the horror FPS idea to F.E.A.R. alone. Now THAT'S how you make a horror FPS correctly!
I never tried out multiplayer (as in deathmatch etc., I tried the coop) because... I would rather not know if it's good or not because at least then I would have an excuse to install the game again...
Well now it seems I've got two excuses; the other one would be Daze. I'm amazed how something could look so magnificent and spectacular in this old chunky engine. I was kinda hoping for an improved singleplayer somehow as well, that would unlock the true potentials of the DooM 3 engine. I hope that the players, or "NPC's" - look as good as the screens, because the original DooM 3 and Quake 4 human designers obviously doesn't know how real people look like.
Anywho I wish you all the best. I've seen alot of crap in my days, but this is definately something worth waiting for. Godspeed :)
We all know that the gameplay of Doom3 wasn't what we expected it to be. And yeah the characters aren't that good looking. To be truthful about it, We still are not able to change the npc's look that much. But we were able to define a completely new look and a new type of gameplay experience based on the still very powerful doom3 engine as you will see soon. As we can see from alot of games based on it, the developers really didn't try to push it to the limits of it's possibility. But our goal from the beginning was to do what we havent experianced yet in a first-,thirdperson shooter. There are some things done for the first time in this genre. Keep yourself up-to-date is all i can say now :)
By "DooM 4", are you referring to yet another sequel in the series, or are you aiming at ID Sofware's newest development, "Rage"?
I never heard anyone mentioning DooM 4, or saw anything comfirming another sequel in the series. Is there really going to be a 4th installment in the series, or is that just your hope speaking?
:P "Hell Back on Earth" (or whatever they would wind up calling it) would've been AWESOME though!! ^^
