can i ue a bolter with this shield?
It's only useable with a melee weapon, though currently the only thing that uses it is the company champion. Untill we get working global upgrades for squads working similar to dow 1 researches, the vanguard sergeants are likely to miss out, though they get access to storm shields which are far better.
