This is a T.C for MAX PAYNE 1 that I'm working on that's based on the 1978 Zombie Horror classic DAWN OF THE DEAD ( & not the 2004 remake ). I'm trying to stick to the movie as closely as the MP1 engine will allow me & I'm also using a DIRECTORS CUT version of the movie for refferance. This T.C has the same story, weapons, characters, music & green skinned zombies as the original movie, & just like the movie you have to shoot the zombies in the head to kill them. Also any weapons that became avalible to characters in the movie will also become avalible to them in this T.C & at the same time & places in the plot.
Check out my Mod Information Profile for progress on this up & coming Max Payne Total Coversion Mod of the original 1978 version of the cult horror movie DAWN OF THE DEAD.

wow looks great
Do you plan on expanding on the movie by adding in new dialogue/events?
Obviously you have to expand on the events in a game that's based on a movie so to get a decent play length.
Example, I've expanded on the scene in the movie where all the main characters meet for the first time at the River Cops station, by adding several other rooms to the station.
The idea being that you now have to search the Station for any survivors taking out any Zombies as you go, & only when you've done this can you then meet up with the others to make your departure from the city.
The reason I've done this is that in movies you only usually get to see the room that an event is taking place & you never get to see the rest of the building, but in games this all has to be taken into account & added as it would be strange to just have 1 room levels.
It can work the other way also, i.e. you sometimes have to leave things out when making games based on movies as some situations might not transfer over too well to the game, thus slowing the pace.
Example, the renegade Cops that our main characters met in this scene in the movie are not part of my mod as although the scene with the cops was interesting in the movie it just didn't work in my mod as there was no actual battle with them in the movie, just dialogue, so all it did was slow down the pace of a game too much.
But you can be well assured that although situations have been added upon & on the rare occasion deleted from my mod version of this movie in order to fill out the game & make the pace more exciting, you will still find that all of the original scenes from the movie are still apparent & that you will always be drawn back to the original storyline of the movie, so really you could say that my mod is the original movie story with a few extra bonuses thrown in for extra enjoyment.
As for the my mods dialogue, no there will not be any new dialogue as I am lifting the original movie dialogue form the DVD.
