Darkest Hour: Normandy 1944 is a modification for red orchestra. It will focus on the normandy campaign in 1944 and will not only cover the landings and airborne drops of the 6th of June 1944 but it will also include the epic large scale tank battles that took place in the later stages of the campaign. We have finally released Beta 1.0 of this mod and your opinions and suggestions are important to us so please post them on our forums.

Where is the patch?

That is something many of our loyal fans have been asking recently. We have already informed you the patch was delayed once. Our original intentions to release the parachute patch in early September sadly passed us by but I am here to explain why.

We felt that with the small community we had built it was pointless for us to simply put out a small content patch with just the parachutes and one new weapon when we could wait another couple of weeks and provide the players with something much more.

As we had promised in the past we have completely overhauled the tank system. Added two new vehicles (see video) and are also working to bring you new maps and player models. This means that instead of going from Darkest Hour 1.1 to 1.2 as we originally intended the patch has grown to such extents we will now be calling the release Darkest Hour Beta 2.0 and this patch will be paving the way for another major content and code update to follow this year.

Upcoming details on the release will arrive in the coming week but for now we ask that you content yourselves with our new tanks in game. This WIP footage shows the Jagdpanther and Cromwell in game. Thank you for your continued patience and support and we look forward to seeing you on the battlefields soon.
